well I did it I signed papers to start apprenticeship for dog grooming to start march 11th. I am so excited about this. I was going to go through Petsmart but there program was too long and where they were going to send me was out of state for my training. I just couldn't justify that. I will be an apprentice for 14 weeks and after that I will know the ins and outs of the business and how to groom the dogs properly. I am so excited. I bet you can't tell. chirs

That's wonderful? If you don't mind my asking, Is this an expensive program? Some I have seen are so much and were just too much for me to consider, but I would love to be able to groom my own.

the one I'm doing is $3500, the school was $6500, online was $715 and Petsmart you start out as a bather and then they send you to train. I don't know about other schools But of course the one online you don't get the hands on experience. I hope this helps alittle. You can call around groomers and see if they have an apprentice programs. That's what I did. chris

Grooming I really want to start grooming mine myself and save that money. I have been looking at tables and clippers in Petedge. What do you groomers recommend ? Pam

| I bought near all my stuff from Petedge. I got a medium sized table with a grooming arm and it's worked great. My clippers I got with my schooling. It is Andis brand and I have no problems with it.

Clippers I don't remember if I saw this on YT or somewhere else but I have got that you use a #15 for potty/belly trim, #40 for ears, and a #5 or #7 for the body, does that sound about right? I keep all my Yorkies in the "puppy cut" Thanks!
