| Toddler falls... Yesterday my nieces son fell out of the window of her 3rd floor apartment. He will be 3 next month. They were on the news tonight. At the hospital, all the drs and nurses were amazed and said he was a little miracle boy because nothing happened to him except a little scratch on his belly. Where he fell there was only about an inch of snow and there were rocks under that. He was wearing his superman jammies and the news reporters joked that maybe he was trying to fly out the window. Child protection told the mom that it was not her fault. The management said she should watch her kids more carefully. In my opinion, the darn screens shouldn't be able to just be pushed out by a little kid. |

| oh how fortunate he did not get hurt. I am happy to hear that. Perhaps they should put on those safety bars? It is a law here. He truly is a "miracle"> Love the Superman jammies remark!

| PTL that he is okay! That is amazing! Something will have to be done to secure that screen! I'm so glad he's alive and well. Bless his little heart!

| I heard on the news when they did the report that in new construction the screens have to be the type that will not be able to be pushed out. There is no law about current buildings though. Apartment management doesn't have to do anything for safety on their buildings already standing. Seems kind of odd to me. I have heard of several kids around this area falling - wouldn't you think something would be done???? |

| OMG Thank God that he's okay, what a scare! I think that the building management needs to look into making those screens more childproof. That's crazy that he could just push on it like that and it let him fall. Could have been very very tragic

| Oh my word.....3rd floor!!!!! That is amazing that he was not hurt!!! My heart is racing just thinking about it. My little boy lived in his Superman PJ's until he was about 8 years old. I had to watch him so closely ...he honestly thought he was Superman and that he could fly!! I am so thankful that your nieces son is OK!!! Poor little guy!!!
