My Lil Man! Donating Member | I used to do my own nails when I had fake nails. But I have never done anyone elses. My mother used to want me to do hers but she kept putting it off cause she was always so busy and scared she would break them off workin around the house or at work. lol. |

My Lil Man! Donating Member | I do still wear them occasionally. When you take them off..there is a little damage to your original nail. My grandmother has had them so long she has to keep them on b/c her nail bed is so messed up so I avoid that by after having them on for a year or two I will take them off and leave them off for about a year to let my nail grow back to where there is no damaged nail left and then wait a lil while longer and then put them on. I dunno if it does any good but I figure it probably does. However, I have seen some people get their nails done lots and it never even phase their nails. lol. But since my grandmothers get damaged I figure be on the safe side in case of genetics. LOL! Im gettin ready to put them back on tho! I miss them soo bad when they are off!!! |

I have had Acrylic nails since i was 13 yrs old lol i have never had them off for more than a few weeks at a time, But in Aug this year i was in the hospital for phnumonia and i ripped them off and i haven't put them back on i miss them tremendously, I hope to get a new set on soon but i have no ambition to do it lol. I also stopped doing other ppl's nails i just got sick of it.

| AHH I'm going to have to go make an appointment to have mine put back on. I had acrylics for 4 or 5 years then took them off for I guess its been almost 2 years. I've been thinking about it for a while but this thread just confirmed it. I have to put them back on!!!
