| I'm a jerk!!! my 6 year old daughter talks NON STOP. I mean, seriously...she is never quiet a second in her life. she is not hyperactive or anything like that...it is just like she is missing the filter between her brain and her mouth and EVERY SINGLE THING she thinks comes out her mouth. yes, I am so very thankful that she talks. I know there are mothers out there praying relentlessly for their children to talk. I am aware that I am blessed. but seriously...I have a right to be tired from time to time, right?? I mean..she is wearing me out. a single, solitary moment of silence would be GREAT. I feel bad because half the time, I don't even hear that she is talking to me because I have quite frankly...learned to tune her out for the most part. but there are days like I have had lately where I just can't. I really just wish she would keep a couple of her thoughts to herself!! i'm sorry...I sound horrible, I know. and I have mentioned this here before so I say I am a jerk because of this.... a few minutes ago, I asked her if it were possible for her to keep some of her thoughts to herself for a few minutes...just to give mommy some quiet time at 7am when I would love to be sleeping. She said "what do you mean???" I said.. "well, you talk a lot...I love you dearly...but you really don't ever seem to stop talking...I just want you to think quietly for a few minutes instead of talking...can you do that???" she said "well, mom, I'm sorry, but this is just how God made me. I can't help it." well...I guess she knows how to make me feel bad, now doesn't she???

| I feel for you Mandee. My daughter is a talke. Her stories are always long and drawn out. I have been known to say to her on several occasions, "Cut to the chase already". She gets so made (and always did), but she is 23, so slightly different than dealing with a 6 year old. Hugs to you!!!

I know the lady I was helping out with her son would give her eye tooth if her boy could talk. He was a drowning victim at 2, he's now 19 and can't talk or walk.. | |

IE...she was saying "Jim...look at my head. I bumped it when I was in the bedroom and I was playing with Maggie...very gently...and then that door..the one that goes into the bedroom...not the one to the bathroom that is in the bedroom...but the one that goes into the bedroom...it was open, but not very much, just a little bit...but open enough...and I went to turn around because I wanted to get a toy for maggie...so I could play with her...very gently...and when I turned around...really fast...I ran into the door..on that part where the door closes...and it hit right in my head...above my eyes...but not in my hair...and it left a white bump...but now it is red...and it might bruise...but it is on my head and it hurts." LONG STORY SHORT...she ran into the door and bumped her head LOL i'm exhausted now LOL

| I have one of those too. He's 13 now and still, always has to be talking. Sometimes I say things I'm sorry for but then I tell him not to listen to me, I love it that he can always think of things to say and talk to anyone. I really do love that about him. |

| i know...it IS great. I just have moments where silence would be soo nice for a few minutes. she has never been one to take naps...so any time she is home, it is non stop talking but when she isn't here...I do miss it.

Ok, I can laugh, I don't live with her. But be thankful she is so detailed oriented - that will be a good life skill for her! Also, in your pregnant state when the forgetfuls really kick in, Trinity can be your memory! How about, when you're not tired, you sit down with her and talk about her gift from God, and how He made her. But also show her some Bible verses about what God says about the tongue. And gently tell her how some people might have trouble following her stories with so many details - ask her if she was going to write a storybook about what happened how would she tell it so someone would want to read it, maybe that would help her see that less is more Learning to have a filter is important, but she is only 6 - but it is also better she hears this from her mother, than someone at school that makes fun of her.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Aww that is so sweet Mandee. She is just a little chatterbox You know what? That reminds me of my little sister so much! Everytime i go to my dad's house all she does is talk talk talk. She is 9 now but i remember her starting to talk nonstop when she was 4. She would tell me all about her day, and what she thought about this and that, etc. She would just keep on talking and i would think gosh, how on earth does a little kid think of so much to say??!? lol Sometimes you just have to pretend you are listening. My bf's neice is 7 and also talk nonstop too. But she talks loud lol
