| a Lot of people recommended the Dyson vacuum. (the animal model, I think it is purple) You might want to look into that. Linens and Things is having a sale this weekend and I guess Bed Bath and Beyond is also (and you can always get 20% off there.) I do not know the amps, but just know everyone raves about it.

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | Q. Do More Vacuum Cleaner Amps Mean More Power? A. Yes. More amps mean more power, but not necessarily suction power or cleaning power. What Amps Measure... Your vacuum cleaner, or most of the ones you may want to purchase, will be 12 amp vacuum cleaners. Amps measure the power of the electrical current going from your outlet to the motor of your vacuum cleaner. While most vacuum cleaners have "12 Amps" prominently displayed on their advertising material, having a 12 amp vacuum cleaner doesn't mean you have the most powerful cleaner on the market. It's up to the manufacturer to design a motor that uses the amps productively. Some 12 amp vacuum cleaners clean better than other 12 amp vacuum cleaners. There are several other factors that influence cleaning power of a vacuum cleaner. Factors That Influence Cleaning Power... Design of the motor. Way the system filters dirt. Height adjustment on the carpet/surface. How you maintain your vacuum cleaner. |

Each store accepts the others' coupons. They do not want to lose your business. And the expiration date is meaningless. The vacuum is $500 and you can save $100 with that coupon. You probably can do it online even. (I did and I did not have to pay taxes or delivery even, so it was $400 even) Everyone is having Presidents Day Sales. But even if you need to go to the store, it is a good deal. I also heard Lowes and Kohls are having sales on the Dyson. Good Luck. Dyson Purple Bagless Upright Animal Vacuum Model DC07 Animal Pet owners will appreciate the power of this Dyson upright vacuum that includes a special Animal™ turbo tool designed exclusively to remove pet hair from furniture, carpet and upholstery. 12 amp motor with 270 air watts of suction delivers consistent cleaning performance that resists clogging.
