| help with animal related school project We have this group project for speech class in which we have to volunteer for at least a day. Since I already volunteered with the rescue organization, we decided to go for that. Well for one of our handouts, I'm going to make a list of reasons that animals are given up or placed in shelters. I was wondering if you all could help me think of some ideas? This is what I have so far. Moving Landlord issues Cost of maintenance No time for the dog Inadequate facilities Too many dogs in home Dog is ill Personal medical issues Biting/aggressiveness No homes for litter Aggressiveness towards children Animal grew too large "Misbehaves" Abandoned Stray Animal becomes pregnant Person becomes pregnant Anything else?

| Someone posted a list of reasons why people turned in animals, the list consisted of totally superficial reasons but what some people have actually said. I remember one that went something like "didn't match furniture". WTFudge!

| Doesn't get along with the pets they already own. They are more work then they thought they would be.
