| Acupuncture! Quick Question..... I am looking for an acupuncturist in my area. Of course I have never been to one before so I am so lost on how to look or select for one. Does any one know how to select a place or determine if an office is legit? Are there pros and cons or places to look for a trustworthy place? Thanks!

| Ohhh, I can't answer any of your questions but please let me know if you go to one. I want to hear all about it! I think Troy might benefit from it.

| I had acupuncture for many years and it really did work. I loved it so much and miss it a lot. The person I went to was located in a doctors office which made me feel more comfortable. Have you tried asking your doctor or primary care physician? I have found that they can usually give you good referrals to reputable specialists. Good Luck, I know you will love it |

| OK guys well I went for my first acupuncture treatment today in Tampa. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, it was actually relaxing . I was kind of scared because of all of the needles. All in all it wasn't that bad. I counted about 14 needles sticking out of me. I couldn't even feel anything when they were taken out except for the one in the middle of my forehead, that one hurt . I will definitely be continuing my treatments.

| The person I go to for acupuncture is an MD. She's my Dr. who treated my back pain before and after my surgery. The acupuncture really helped w/ my lower pain and the actual process was not as bad as I thought it would have been (since I REALLY HATE needles!). I'm actually pain free and have been since early December so I haven't had to go for a few months. Supposedly there is acupuncture training for MDs who are interested in alternative forms of medicine in addition to just the traditional forms. You might want to check for MDs in physical medicine and rehab in your area to see if any of them do acupuncture

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I'm a HUGE acupuncture advocate! I went for fertility issues. After IUI's and a failed IVF, etc. I got pregnant naturally with a year of acupuncture. I think it's GREAT for female issues, allergies and I saw many there for chemo side effects help. I went to a school for acupuncture. There are two clinics you can go to, one is the upper level students and you pay half the cost, or you can see the actual Chinese Medicine Doctors for the full price. I went to the students because they are 100% monitored by the Chinese Medicine doctors anyhow and you get great care. You can stay with the same student so it's just ilke having your own doctor. I met some great people. Many of the students already had a practice of some sort and were just adding to their knowledge. I saw midwives, naturalists and even chiropractics and family care. It was a great experience and I really think you'll like it. The first time I went, I went for a few weeks, but didn't like it so much. I stopped but went again and met other students until I found hte one I really connected to and she was very interested in getting me pregnant so she was always in tune with me.
