| Allow Me to Introduce Myself.... First off; I love my little girl. Her name is Chica Marika and she is a full bred WESTIE. Yep, you read that right. She isn't a Yorkie. I rescued her 1.5 years ago. Her long hair matted and covered her darling face. I had heard about her through a former client and since my mother's Wesite, Maxwell, had just passed away, I wanted to relieve some of the pain my mother was going through by finding her another lovable Westie. But when I saw "Chica's" face, I just knew. I knew we were meant to be together. Forever. So, I took her back to my home. She left a family that kept her in the backyard, rain, snow and shine. When she wasn't in the backyard barking or digging (out of boredom), she was placed in her crate that was located in the laundry room. She had nothing to play with other than old tennis balls. And she was never allowed in other parts of the house. My heart went out to her.....and she was my first dog, as my mother wouldn't allow my sister and I to have a dog growing up. Chica went from rags to riches, figuratively speaking, mind you. I don't dress her up like most people think I would. Don't get me wrong, she has an amazing selection of coats and sweaters, booties, harnesses and leads. A nice selection of spa products and blankets, toys and pet pillows. She gets brushed everyday, baths when needed and walked as often as needed. She is my cuddler, my little girl and she has licked away my tears more than once and sometimes not often enough. Please read all about her and her journal (of course she types!) at: http://dogster.com/pet_page.php?i=15...6a574318964eae Chica and I live in a beautiful house in the Hollywood Hills. We have a swimming pool that she loves to deposit ALL her toys in when mommy is swimming. Chica's favorite food is raw and raw eggs. Chica's obsession is playing fetch. Over. And over again. Day or night. Hours on end. I joke she suffers from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder); but in all seriousness, she will wear you out before she wears herself out....and whenever I host a party, she is the party! Since she is a rescue, her age is a mystery. We think she is about 4 or 5, but she certainly has a lot of energy for 4 or 5. I expect for a long time to come she will. And like most other Yorkie owners, Chica.....GOES WITH ME EVERYWHERE. Shopping, office, some meetings, to the set, travel, you name it...she has been there, met this person or that person and of course, always with her cool sunglasses! Gotta protect those beautiful, big brown eyes! Her mommy....me.....well, let's see, what can I tell you? I live in the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, CA. I am in my early 30's. I am a professional writer, actress and entrepreneur. Oh, yes....and a former model. There, I've said it. I have many hobbies: I love to meet new people, host dinner parties and pool parties, cuddle with Chica, grocery shop (seriously, I can easily spend up to two hours in a Whole Foods when I am in my grocery shopping mode), reading, writing, painting, drawing, travel, sailing, boating, fishing, charity work, helping, giving and I believe in good people and good things. I have an amazing family - very loving and supportive and wonderful friends who have been by my side through thick and thin. I am blessed with good health, happiness and a desire to learn all about what I don't know. I enjoy gardening, night swimming, haunted houses, talking with children and writing prose on a rainy afternoon. I also love music and film. I do love my satellite radio. I work hard, play hard. But really these days word hard more than anything else. My average day begins at 7am and ends at 2am the following morning. Yep. You read that right. When I get excited about something, I just don't want to sleep. I love my career and have learned some valuable lessons along the way. I am a college drop out and self educated. I started my first company when I was 21 years old. BP is my 4th and LDP will be my 5th. I do say what's on my mind and I've realized that many people have given up on looking for and believing in "good people." Don't slam us against the wall when we say something you don't understand. Just go about your day. Life is too short to be mean. It doesn't get you anywhere except feeling yucky by the time you tuck yourself into bed. So, other than all of that.....there are many layers to myself and to my pooch and "we" both hope you accept us for what we are: A Girl and her Dog ...looking to help others and give lots of kisses! |

| It sounds like you lead a very busy life! As for me, I used to live in New York and Palm Beach and sang in the opera! My main focus now is my family! One son, one stepdaughter and one grandaughter. Then my furbabies of course! Lexy is my only Yorkie at the moment. She is 2 1/2 lbs. and 6 months old. Cinder and Layla are the black Labs that own us! They are both rescues and they both love to swim in the lake near us! I sell real estate and my husband works in the energy generating business. We are going to retire to the beach in Puerto Vallarta in about 5 years. Can't wait!!!!

| Oh Wow... Opera?! WOW!!! That's awesome! I do a lot of business in the PB area. Florida is growing like crazy in the industry. I would love to have a Yorkie. I also like the breed Mi-Ki. But, I really don't want Chica to get jealous. Of course, she loves being around younger male dogs...so maybe here soon I will get a Yorkie and a Mi-ki! Real Estate will always be a good industry - I am really into commercial property. A friend of mine is always trying to get me out of the pooch world and into the real estate world so we can work together. Who knows....maybe some day I will. Thank you for your comments! - and as for retiring in PV - I am jealous!! S Quote:
