| Body wave? So Ladies, I have decided to get a body wave perm this week! I am so sick of my straight as a board hair! Has anyone here gotten one recently? I have noticed that it seems to be in style with the celebrities. Here's a picture of my straight hair and I will show you my perm Wednesday! Wish me luck and give me info if you have gotten a body wave! Well, I couldnt get the pic I was going to put on here to upload. Here is one of my hair in a pony tail. Maybe you can kinda see how straight it is. http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...JeremyandI.jpg (By the way, I dont know how to make the pic show up on here)

| Your hair looks like mine! It's so straight but then it seems like I get a perm and all I'm doing is waiting for it to grow out. I really like it at first but then as a few months goes by and it grows out, the ends are so dry. Please post pics though as I am once again thinking of getting a body wave. Would love to hear what a digital perm is though. |

YT 2000 Club Member | My friend got a body wave a few months back and her hair looks cute. She had very strait hair. Her hair looks very cute. If you get it done post pictures!! I have never heard of a digital perm. Sounds interesting. I have never had to get a wave or perm, I have natural wavey hair. When I was younger I wish my hair would of been strait and I was jealous of 2 of my 3 sisters because the have super strait hair, then by 6th grade all the girls were getting perms to have curly hair like I already had naturally. By high school every one had perms it seemed. That is when I started to love my hair finally, I did not have to pay some of the outargues prices that my friends were paying.

| I think it would look cute, but go to a good salon. I messed up my hair once that way. Scary! lol! The ones today are much better. I haven't heard of a digital perm either. I would like to know more about them.

| Here are some links with pictures of a digital perm. It seems to be very popular with Asian girls. I just love the way it looks... http://www.createblog.com/forums/ind...owtopic=179526 http://jinajo.blogspot.com/2007/02/d...ore-after.html It gives you looser/bigger curls.

| I got a body wave last year and HATE it. My hair took it really well and it ended up really curly ( I thought it would just be wavy and this WAS NOT the case) and everyday I have to straighten it now and my hair is damaged because of it. If I could go back in time I would not have done it. This doesnt mean you wont like your hair if you do it, I just wanted to tell you about my expereince and what my hair ended up doing with one.

| omgosh...i've been thinking about either a body wave or a digital perm for awhile now. i went back to taiwan last summer and everyone was rocking the digital perm. i didn't have enough hair back then (not long enough), and now that i do, it's so hard to find a good hairdresser in the states (especially the midwest) who can do it. update us with pictures of your new 'do!

| Not to scare you but please make sure the person knows what they are doing!!! I had a body wave put in my hair about 3 years ago (by a professional) and you could not believe what it did!!! My hair was a frizzy mess ...no curls just frizz!!!! The hair dresser felt horrible and she kept having me come back ....she was trying different things to make it relax.....nothing worked!!! My hair had color on it at the time of the Body Wave and that is why they think it frizzed. I hope you have better luck than I did!!!

| I got a perm years back and absolutely HATED it! I fought for years for my hair to get back to its healthy self again..... Now, I no longer fit it, I love straight hair, but when my hair was cut short awhile back, it got pretty curly and I can just use a diffuser if I want it curly or sleep w/ it wet for big loose curls or I can blow dry and straighten it for keeping it straight. So much better and better choices then another perm! Good luck though...I can't wait to see it! BTW...very cute picture!!!
