Donating YT 500 Club Member | Sick kids This season has been HORRIBLE! My 5 yr old (turned 5 last week) has been sick for a few weeks now. He had a flu, body aches, just listless, not eating/drinking, and sleeping constantly. That passed, doctor said he was okay, fever went away and he went back to school, I got sick, then my 4 yr old (turns 4 in two weeks) got sick and he was home for awhile. Now my 5 yr old is sick again I had to pick him up from school today, he's coughing so much and no fever. I have an appointment for him at 3:15, daddy will take him. My mom is with him now, I had to come back to work. I don't have any sick time left and hardly any vacation. I work an opposite shift as my hubby the last part of the week so if it falls on the end of the week, it's ME that stays home. I wish I could quit, although I love my job........ Oh and my son is a peanut as it is, he's only 34 lbs and losing weight, he can't seem to kick anything when he's sick and it just worries me. sorry had to vent.....I'm hoping more parents reply with their experiences, make me feel better LOL thanks for reading if you made it this far.

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | I am sorry they are sick... I hear ya though my 7 yr old son has strep throat right now i just took him to the doctors on Tuesday and it is awful. It seems once they get in school they are sick all the time We were all so sick the whole month of December just kept passing it back and forth it seems to never go away. I really wish parents would keep their kids home when they are sick it would really help. My 7 yr old has missed 8 days due to illness now and i keep him home even if i don't have to take him to the doctors, but because other parents won't keep their kids home it's a never ending cycle ugghhh

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Thank you for replying. I'm sorry your son has been sick, too. There's so many out with this at work and at school, it's ridiculous. We took C in and they checked him all over and lo and behold told us it was viral. We hear that all too often, but I'm glad his chest was clear, he's been coughing something awful but at least it's not in his chest, just sounds bad. I'll send your little one some get well vibes
