| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member  |  I didn't think I'd make it BUT - I didn't think I'd make it BUT - WE DID ! The girls and I are in our new apartment. I wanted to let everyone know I have a new email - new phone and new place and thank you guys again for the support after my husband died. There were many many days I didn't think I'd make it this far but we did and I think the worst is behind me now. I still can't believe I packed up my whole 3 bedroom house all by myself and after selling so many things I loved - and giving away what I couldn't take with me - I think we did A-OK ! The new place is looking really nice. Thanks to Jamie and Linda for giving some of my things a new 'home' ...you don't know what a big help that was !! and thanks to the people who have kept in touch via emails and calls & even sending the girls little gifts  there are some great people on this site ...there were days I was so far down and you all touched me in ways I can't do justice to.The girls arent used to 'apartment' living yet but are doing really well considering all the changes in their little lives....First they lost their dad - then beautiful Tessa (my cocker) had to go to Rainbow Bridge  (I was too numb to post about that when it happened) and we left the only home they knew....Not to mention me working full time and that makes for 2 very confused little yorkies.... so I'm really proud of them. We've been here since Wednesday night and I see little improvements each day I don't know how I'd have made it thru all this without your help and encouragement. There's too many to thank individually but know you have my gratitude and I hope one day I can be 'there' for someone like you all were for me. ps...for those who have my 'vrochford' @ comcast.net email address - my new one is exactly the same only change it to @att.net |

| Morning Vi! Sounds like your new apartment is going to work just fine for you and the girls!!! You will have to take pics for us once you are settled in and decorated. So sorry to hear about Tess. Another large mountain to climb for you. It is defintiely time for an UP-swing.......... you deserve it!! ...........by the way, is there any chance that you are going to decorate one of your new rooms really "girlie"??? You HAVE to have a girlie room.... lots of "froo froo" stuff!!!

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Thank you guys about Tessa...just posting that made me cry again. She went downhill really bad after her daddy died....She was his 'girl' and knew how sick he was and never left his side. After he died - she started losing weight fast and would wander the house at night crying and had stopped eating. Much of it was her chronic ear problems but the weight loss was totally new......I tried to get her 'back' and we went to the vet 3 times -but it got to the point where they said she had to have surgery or would be living in pain for the remainder of her life ....at that time I just didn't have that kind of money - I didn't make the decision lightly - when I brought her back to the vet that last time - knew in my heart what the outcome would be. I spoke with several people who had the same surgery for their cocker and there was only a small chance it would have worked for her due to her age and how bad her ear problems were .....but the guilt about not having the money about put me under... She was especially special as she was my very 1st dog ever (My husband had bought her for me back when we first met)...making that decision was mind numbing especially since it was just 2 months after losing him - but I know I did the right thing for her. I loved her too much to let her suffer. |

| Wow, V, you have come so far! You had to overcome so many things in the last few months...and you did!! I'm really proud of what you were able to do! So sorry to hear about Tessa You are very special and I look forward to hearing new stories from you! You rock, V!!
