| first time moms! ok... so I have a question??? Im going to be getting Gracie (my yorkie)here any time now.. and Im going to be treating her like shes my baby! my husband and I have been trying for 9 months to get prego... and nothing... so if i do end up getting prego heres my question... have you notticed any behavior problems with your furbabies after you have a skin baby? since your skin baby needs alot of attention feeding put to sleep play just like with another puppy... but did you have any issues or did your fur baby have problems with having to not have all of the attention? tia I hope this makes sense...

| Well, I don't know personally....AND all dogs are different (different temperments, different personalities, etc)...but we got LilyGrace when she was 2 1/2 years old. The couple that had her, had her for over a year and babied her like to tomorrow....then got pregnant and Lily was just not acting the same...she didn't seem to understand, didn't want to be around the baby, etc. They knew she wouldn't hurt the baby and they knew she was sad...so they needed a new home for her that would have the time for her that she deserved. --that's where we came in BUT, Shana just had a baby girl and I think all three of her dogs are doing well w/ Tessa. I am sure someone else who recently had a child will respond soon. Again, though, I think it all depends on the dog. on getting a new puppy!!!

| Sorry I can't help you but I am due in July and have 2 furbabies. I will be finding out then. We tried for 3 years and went through lots of infertility. Here I am pregnant on our own. No meds or anything. Good luck to you. My first furbaby is named Gracie May. Love the name Gracie.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I had a very spoiled male Yorkie when I had my dtr 22 years ago and he adjusted fine. The first day or so he was a little put out but he was fine. He still sat in my lap and I had my dtr on the other side and fed her with Zorro in my lap. As long as you give them attention there shouldn't be any problems. You may try exposing her to children so when you have your own she will be use to them.
