| Here is a link to see what the numbers are at shelters and rescues in Virginia. Every year they must submit their numbers to the state. You can look up each one or total numbers for all of them. http://www.virginia.gov/vdacs_ar/cgi...acs_search.cgi Does anyone know if other states have a similar website?

| I must admit I didn't read the website word-for-word but.. That article doesn't make any sense. Animals are still being put put to sleep. Shelters and rescues are still in existence. There is an animal overpopulation.

| that first website is making me mad. there is no underpopulation or shortage of pets. who are they kidding? there are still 5 million cats and dogs being put to sleep per year. when NO cats or dogs are put to sleep due to them not being able to find a loving home, then they can CONSIDER writing that. sorry i don't mean this as an attack towards you at all, i'm just mad that someone would write in an article that there is a shortage of pets when 5 million are being put to sleep
