| nervous mommy (me) My daughter is leaving for a ski trip tomorrow. She is so excited but I am freaking out a little. She's going to be on a bus and I'm so worried about the roads. I'm also worried she is going to freeze to death. It's going to be sooo cold! It's 8:35 PM and 75 degrees right now here so single degrees are just impossible for me to imagine. She wont be home until around 2:00AM Tuesday. This will be her first (and only if I have anything to say about it ) time seeing snow so I guess that is neat. ACK, I'm not going to make it!

Does she know how to ski? Are you worried she will get hurt? I bet she has a fabulous time and wants to go again.

| Thank you everyone. She's 13 and it's a girl scout trip. Okay, I know she'll be fine but OMG! She's going soooo far and I really don't like the idea of icy roads and it's really, really COLD!! I will totally get through this. On a completely different topic, yes Caren we are totally free this weekend. Sound like a Mainstreet Pub night? I'll need a few glasses of wine, I promise.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Awww Nikki, I'm sure she will be fine and I will be sure to say a little prayer for her My sister was just as nervous as you were when my little nephew (he was about 11, I THINK - or 12 at the time) went away for church camp in Colorado for a WEEK. OMG, we ALL nearly lost our minds (I am like a second mother to my nephew so I was just as nervous as she was). He had never ever been away from home for more than 1 night at a time (except for when he stays with me) - so we were FREAKING OUT. We didn't even think that he was going to want to go since he would be gone for a whole week...but he did so she let him And it only made matters WORSE when he called us on his 4th night there sick, crying and throwing up saying that he wanted to come home (he actually WAS sick with a stomach bug though, and fever) OMG We wanted to just drive there and get him...poor little guy

| She'll be fine, have a good time, and it will all be forgotten. I allways remembered scout trips as being highly supervised at all times, come to think of it I think we were highly supervised all the time
