| Unexplained "Big Boom" This morning at nearly eleven o'clock, I heard something very loud and my house shook. It felt like something had run into my house! I went out my front door to see what in the heck was going on...just as my neighbor came out of her house to see what had run into her house. Then, my neighbor from across the street came out....she thought the same thing. Pepole were popping out all over the neighborhood, trying to figure out what it was. Well....it seems nobody knows. Some initially thought that it might be a sonic boom. The Navy at the base in a town about one and a half hours away said "Nope. Wasn't anything we did"...They say they saw nothing on their radar to explain it. They checked with other military places to see if they had anything...nope. It's really weird. They felt/heard it as far away as an hours drive. And nobody....nobody....knows what the heck it was. Have any of you had a similar experience....unexplained? |

| Girl, I feel for you, that makes such a damn mess, doesn't it.I now set a timer when I do that,or put them in a plastic bag and if you forget,no mess that way. They say the sonic boom was a NASA secret aircraft test flight. I didn't hear it here in Bakersfield. |

| How fascinating! we would get the sonic boom from Concorde over the East coast of the UK (East Anglia) when i was a child living there, someone told me that they had to be so many miles out to sea before they could break the sound barrier.
