| Question re: dog sitting So I saw a posting about someone looking for a dog sitter for their teacup (their word.. not mine) chihuahua and I emailed them and they responded. They're looking for someone to watch their dog from 5:30 on Friday to 6:30 on Sunday. I would do this in my home. How much would you charge? I'm not sure since a few things play a part in price: I live a BIG city, I'm not insured or anything. I've looked around but it hasn't helped that much.

| The pet sitter I've used for my cats before charged $16 a visit. So if you're keeping the dog the whole time, I'd at least say $35-$50 a day. Most good boarding places charge that much and aren't with the dog at night.

Some of the places I found through Google charge $75 for overnight (12 hours) so $100 doesn't sound to bad! Thanks!

| Well- I haven't definitely decided to do it. I'm normally out of town a lot (a lot meaning more than the average person) so I'm not sure if I'm willing to give that up for $100 a week. I don't NEED the money- but I wouldn't not take it either.

| I pay a petsitter $50 a day but she stays in my home. One petsitter I talked to a while back charged $75 a day so I guess I'm getting a pretty good deal- especially since I have 3 dogs.

Hey- did you find the garland? I've been to a few Kmarts and noticed it's been sold out!

Nope, we're going to be garland-less this year. My K Mart had 1 strand left of the gumdrops but no fruit slices. I hope they have it next year.

I'm sure they'll have it next year because I noticed it last year.

| Fifty dollars a day sounds fair to me. I'd write up some kind of contract to cover yourself if I were you.

| I decided not to do it. I don't think it'd be fair to Britney and Brooklyn. They are used to having free range of the house and eating whenever they want and I wouldn't be comfortable with another dog having the same. Plus I have a cat. On top of that- I go out of town a lot (taking all the animals with me) and I wouldn't really wanna give that up.
