| toby and kitten update well, i think i would have a hard time getting rid of this kitty even if my allergies go into overdrive...... so far, the kitten seems to believe that toby is its mama, and toby is taking another animal very well..... im surprised, i anticipated him being an "only animal" for his whole life.... the flea situation is fixed, (i diluted tobys puppy shampoo a lot and used that on the kitten so now there are no more fleas).... toby actually tries to take the kitten in his mouth and carry it.... because the kitten in bigger than toby can carry we have to remind him to be gentle, he was getting it and dragging it by its head (very gently though.... and the kitten teases him into it by swatting at him and biting his ears) a few times toby has dragged the kitten by the ear when it wasnt supposed to be in a certain area....... i think we might have to do a "milo and otis remake" |

| Hi and congrats on the new kitten just wanted to give you a few tips to make things a little easier make sure you take it to get dewormed they always have them.. I took a kitten in last year after his mother and brother died dont know how just found it outside next to mom. So I took her in and bottle fed her and got her to eat food, did great and next I realized my two cats had worms and the worst ones tape worms yuk so gross.. any how it costed me a arm and leg to take to get all of them dewormed so just to save money take it now to get shots and dewormed also they have these claw covers at petsmart that are clear that you put over there claws I just did this to mine cause my little princess gets ruff with the kittys and they get ruff back just to keep from them scratching her and my new couches they work great you just trim the nail and it comes with glue and stay on really good just wanted to give you a few tip on the new kitty. It also sounds like tobys already in love with it.. good luck..

| thanks for the tips (ive never had a kitten before..... all my cats were outside kitties and my mom took care of them.....) i did find a worm , that was yesterday, i havent seen any more but i have to wait to take him to the vet because of the holiday weekend, it will have to wait until tuesday.... as far as the claws...... im surprised the kitten in very gentle, when he plays he doesnt use his claws, we have leather furniture so he cant ruin that as badly as cloth furniture, also we got it a scratching post with toys attached to it to keep it entertained..... it is adjusting well.... much better than its brother is (my fiances friend has its brother and i guess it is not eating, cryign all the time, still flea infested<-----at least i got the fleas off , and it kept her up th ewhole night....... we got the better kitty YAY!) |
