Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | AWRIGHT, Someone clue me in on the secret to tearing Plastic Wrap Well, maybe I'm just not the brightest friggin' penny in the roll, but clearly there is genius required to properly tear Plastic Wrap/Saran Wrap. Please, oh please, tell me the ancient secret. Who invented this stuff only make it impossible to use? I had to pony-up against this menace several times over Thanksgiving - and I was a pitiful match against this flimsy-but-omnipotent powerhouse. I feel like a dufus asking for advice about SARAN WRAP, but I refuse to be defeated by this transparent monster!

| I start by attaching it to the item I want to wrap, and smoothing the wrap down around it. When I'm done and it's covered I get out my old trusty scissors and cut it straight.

Once in a while, I'm lucky, but I usually succeed in tearing *my skin* on the flippin' blade more often than tearing the wrap. One must strike the delicate balance between pulling down and pulling towards oneself--mind you, keeping the coined "transparent monster" pulled taut all the while. Practice, eager one, practice! And you soon shall intuit its elusive secrets! | |

| That is such a good question! The last time I got into that mess I thought to myself "Is there any brand that tears worth a toot?" Still have not found it. Foil tears easily, why can't plastic wrap?

No Longer a Member | I will say that the best stuff for cling is that stretch tite they sell at walmart. I can't recall how well it tears. |
