| crochet pattern needed this is driving me nutso. I saw a crocheted finger coin purse. It was one of those lattice type closure. I have been searching for the pattern for months. the lady that made it said she would email me the pattern and she made them all the time for bazaar items. I have not heard a thing from this lady ( I am sure she just forgot). she is one of those winter texans that travels around with a camping trailer. I know there are several of you people on here that travel around the same way. If you would keep and eye out for me and let me know if you see any of these things around the camp grounds I surely would appriciate it. My searches come up with the same pattern a vintage 1910 finger purse. it has the same closure that i am looking for but not as decorative. can any one help me on this one? thanks

| I have a lot of crochet patterns, I used to crochet a lot. I am not sure what it is you are looking for. Did you get one, can you post a picture? just fyi: next time you ask someone to e-mail you something - get their e-mail address, too. That way you can send a reminder and they can easily e-mail back to you on a reply.

| Thank you laura, that was good advise. I certainly will do that next time. the pattern is just a plain simple finger coin purse. what makes it so unique is the fact that it has a lattice type closing. kind of hard for me to explain. it hangs from long single crocheted strands but the strands are alternately connected to both sides of the purse. when it opens it looks like they are sissored (every other starand goes opposite ways). so when you pick it up it automatically goes back into position. I have heard it called a puzzle finger coin purse also. this is a picture of the only one i can find. what i am wanting is more plain looking. thanks for your help.

| That one looks very simple from what I can tell. The top is a metal ring. The strings are a simple chain stitch. The purse itself would probably be two with a circular pattern, in the center it is a circle followed by 2 dc, chain 4 x 4, the second row 4 dc in chain - and so on - I can't remember a lot without printing the picture to look at. The outside would just be sewing the two sides together, maybe with a single crochet chain 4 - something like that I am not sure about the criss cross thing. I have never seen one that I can recall.
