| alli Has anyone tried Alli? I bought it but haven't started it yet. I guess I'm a big chicken and need some encouragement from those using it or have used it. |

| I have not tried it. To me it just did not make sense. If you have to eat low fat to reduce or eliminate the side effects of the Alli, then why do you need Alli? You could just eat low fat and get the same effect. Just my two cents.

| From what I have read, there are too many side effects and its a little redundant to have to eat low fat so as not to get them. So wjat is the point in Allii? |

| I used alli before and it did help me lose weight just a bit faster than normal diets for me but.... the anal leakage was to much!!! If you eat just a tad bit more fat you'll notice to say the least. I did best what on a modified Adkins dieat with alli. Averaged 3 pounds a week. The weight came right back after I quit dieting, my normal eating is BAD. Good luck! |

| I watched a show about Menopause on PBS last night. It was a doctor giving the lecture. She suggested that what ever is on our plate be 80% good. We are to give up the notion of being perfect. She says try to eat good, don't diet, get some exercise and strive for 9 servings of fruits and vegies each day. Eat some protein with each meal. Avoid simple carbs like white bread, white pasta, candy, cookies, you get my drift. Think of how many fruits, vegies and proteins you can buy for the cost of one box of Alli!

| Doesn't sound like fun to me. I use Hydroxycut and it worked great for me.

| My mom when to a pharmacist and asked about it he said that if you do what Alli says and cut your fats and exercise then your going to lose 2-3 pounds a week without it.. Try doing that first with less calories and more activity and you'll see the same results

| it always comes down to less fat, more exercise ... does alli make you less hungry or just scare you into not eating fatty foods????

| LOL Yeah, but if you eat less than 15 grams of fat per meal you'll be okay.

| I was thinking about trying Alli. I'm on Weight Watchers right now and I know that that works very well. I'm not sure about the Core Program, but the points (older point system) works well. After a car accident I had gained 30 pounds and lost all of it doing Weight Watchers and I know it's bad but I also used Ephedra. I gained the weight back after having 3 hours reconstructive surgery on my foot after breaking it and then I had a serious medical problem that prevented me from working out so with all of that, after keeping it off for 4 yrs. I gained it back. I'm currently taking Liprodrene which has Ephedra but it's not working as the Xendadrine did (which is now off the market). I don't know maybe my body is immuned to the Ephedra. Anyway, keep everyone posted about how the Alli works. I think I may pick it up tomorrow. I would reccomend the ww points and also just 20 minutes a day of walking. The combination of the two will take the weigh off and I hate to tout Ephedra but that stuff really does work. Elaine |

| Alli is a fat blocker....it prevents the absorption of fat in your intestinal tract, thus the unpleasant side effects if you happen to eat too much fat. Yes, diet alone will cause weight loss. My understanding is that alli just speeds up the weight loss. |
