| smoke alarm so at about 3 this morning... i hear the smoke alarm! so what's the first thing you think of? oven, burning smell, ahhh! so i come downstairs (of my own house mind you) and here is my fiance's friends baking in my smoke filled house. i come downstairs and i'm like "what in the world" and he was like 'oh sorry, hope you don't mind me staying, i had a little to drink and don't wanna drive'... i'm like grrrreat, what did you do to my oven!? some grease got on the bottom and burnt and created a horrible smoke and odor. well, my oven is more for the dog and looks because i cannot cook or bake to save my life (i cook for Beagan because he can't criticize and he always wants seconds! lol) so i dont have any cleaning products or come to find out baking soda. we're just lucky he didn't catch my house on fire. anyways... so off i go to meijer to get some oven cleaner!! i get back and i have a cranky fiance and his friend is asleep down in the basement.... so i clean and clean and about poison myself with the toxic cleaning products and now my oven is on a cleaning cycle and it smells horrible. I think my sense of smell has become accustomed to burnt smell. on top of it all... my pup isn't feeling the greatest and i think he may have kennel cough

| haha i wish it was that easy. my fiance cleans up his messes just fine lol but mind you his friend lived with us for 2 years (his mom died and he really doesn't have a dad thats around so he was really traumatized so we took him in when he was 19). the rule in the house was he had to have a job (so he could pay me $100/month.... he carried one on for a while but quit and didnt tell me so i kicked him to the curve!

| Aww, what a crappy way to wake up I hate hate hate oven cleaner, I absolutely cannot use it. Maybe your pup could use some fresh air, away from all those stinky smells, huh? If kennel cough is suspected, the smoke and fumes could make it worse

| something good to clean the oven with is cream of tarter and vinegar, make a paste out of it and let it soak on. this is wonderful for cleaning the window on the oven door...and the drip pans under the stove burners. and you avoid the chemical overdose that a lot of oven cleaners give you hope your baby is feeling better soon!!!
