YT 2000 Club Member | Good news for my son's injery from last year!! Last year, a few weeks after we moved into our home, my son Lincoln went through the glass door and he had to have his face stitched up. It was by his eye, and they were not sure if he was going to have any damage to nerves by his eye or not. He just had a check up and so far so good!! Here is a few pictures after he was stitched up and the last 2 are from today all healed up! It took the doctor a few hours to stich it up because of the area that the cut was in, but he did a wonderful job on it. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...6/100_1760.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...gmantis002.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...gmantis001.jpg

YT 2000 Club Member | When I heard the glass braking i just knew it was going to be bad! I went to the door and he had a peise of it sticking out, I almost fainted!! We have a very older home and the glass is all original so it brakes badly, at lest the is what we were told. I have replaced the glass with plexi glass for now, I was so scared that another one of the kids would go through the glass doors!

YT 2000 Club Member | I was surprised that they were able to sew up his eyelid like they did it. We did not think it was going to heal up as good as it did. The skin was cut in a backwards L and it was folded away from his face. Very scarry to see that on your child that's for sure. We kept it slathered in neosporin and vaseline with a gauze pad loosely covering it up until they had to take the stitches out, then I got Merdurma(ms??) for kids and we used that too.

| Chicks digs scars, it gives a guy character. when I was young, I had to have my forehead sewn from going face down on a flight of concrete steps. Unfortunatley mine didn't heal up as well as your son's. He's very lucky it healed so nicely!

Sorry that you did mot heal up well after your fall, They have come out with these new scar treatments, they were not around even 13 years ago. I am glad my son healed up, but more thankful that it did no damage to his eye and nerves!
