| Um....potatoes anyone? I went in the kitchen to make dinner. I decided I'd make mashed potatoes. Peeling potatoes is somewhat therapeutic for me. So there I was, peeling away and happily chattering away to myself. (yes, I talk to myself when I'm cooking lol) Before I knew it I had peeled the entire 10 lb bag of potatoes! So I made a big batch of mashed potatoes - figured we could eat some tonight and I could take the rest to MIL's house for Thanksgiving. I made scalloped potatoes - figure I can take them to MIL's as well. I shredded some, squeezed out the liquid, and put them in freezer bags for easy hashbrowns. I also diced some up, patted them dry and put them in freezer bags for the next time I make potato soup. I can't believe I stood there and peeled the whole darn bag. It didn't take me long to do it either. LOL I am such a goof sometimes.

| I panicked at first. I didn't know what I was going to do with them. If anyone needs any potatoes peeled, I'm definitely your girl!

| I just did something similar ... only I made mashed potatoes, mashed yams, and hash browns ... I was going to bring them to my friend's home for T-Giving, but it looks like I cooked for an army ... so I did what you did and froze half of them .... something about the holidays that gets my "potato" juices flowing ... Hope you all have a happy holiday!

| mashed potatoes sounds yummy! I love peeling potatoes too. When I was little that was always my job when mom was cooking thankgiving dinner. She's sit little chairs for me and my papaw in the kitched and he and I would sit and peel taters together from the time I was 5 or 6 until he died.
