| What is a "Blog"? All of a sudden I'm hearing a new word (new to me, anyway). What exactly is a "blog"? Is it just another name for a web page? Thanks in advance,

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | It's an online diary - what you want to write - just write as if you had a journal or something - it's getting REALLY popular ...some are silly - but some are really interesting - Passionfruition has a great blog |

| Blog Sheila - Villette hit it right on the head. "Blog" comes from "web log" which is just posting on a webpage like a journal. Xanga is the most popular IMO and like Villette said, Valerie and Sully's page is the greatest - she always posts videos of his tricks and has updated stories and stuff. Blogging is pretty interesting, but it's been in the news a lot lately because it's potentially as hazardous as chat rooms for younger kids. I've heard of some people (young teens, etc.) posting about exact activities and where they're going to be or if they'll be home alone and things like that. You have to watch what you say because most are public, but it's really an interesting thing!! |

| haha - yeah I have some younger friends who had been "trash talking" (not exactly, but you get the point) about their parents on their blog and the parents found the website and read about it. HAHA!! I guess it's a good way to find out what your kids are up to (if you don't already)!!! HAHA!! |

| Web Log. I have one that I write in. Not really about myself, but about news, politics, religion, travel, opinions, etc. I prefer Blogger.

| Aww, THANK YOU guys for your sweet compliments on my blog! I was curious about blogging for years but never got into it......until April of '04. I really, really enjoy having a space to be creative and share my thoughts, and pictures. I have found that blogging is a great way to keep in touch with friends and relatives. If they have an account on Xanga (which is the host site I use) they will immediately get an update via email if I ever post a blog entry. I am also a writer, but being a creative, fun writer at heart and having to do boring news all day long...I really enjoy this site as a place to stretch my legs. And also with my photography, which is another hobby of mine. If you ever want to start a free Xanga account, I will be GLAD to help you with setting it up and getting some nice design going that you like. I am really familiar with all the options Xanga has and I have designed about ten of my friends' sites as well as mine and my husband's, so let me know if you're interested. For those of you who read my blog...I actually have two. My other blog site is this: MyCatsMeow My husband's site is this: http://www.xanga.com/elisurf
