| More Toy Recalls-Aqua Dots http://www.woodtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=7328187 Toys with 'date rape' drug pulled from shelves Posted: Nov 7, 2007 08:20 PM EST WASHINGTON (AP) -- Millions of Chinese-made toys have been pulled from shelves in North America and Australia after scientists found they contain a chemical that converts into a powerful "date rape" drug when ingested. Two children in the U.S. and three in Australia were hospitalized after swallowing the beads. With only seven weeks until Christmas, the recall is yet another blow to the toy industry -- already bruised by a slew of recalls last summer. In the United States, the toy goes by the name Aqua Dots, a highly popular holiday toy distributed by Toronto-based Spin Master Toys. It is called Bindeez in Australia, where it was named toy of the year at an industry function earlier this year. there's more to the article on the website. | Are you kidding me? Why in the world would someone make something out of something that would do that anyway?

| I saw this earlier. I am just horrified with all that is going on with China!! There have been so many recalls of China's products. Something needs to be done. They need to either inspect everything made from China more closely or try to get them to comply the the US regulations.

| It was on my kids Christmas list as well. It was one of the top three things they wanted. I just read where there is a voluntary recall on Magnetix as well. My son is big time into them and I've already bought him 2 new sets for Christmas.
