| Question about flu shots Do they come in pre measured invidal doses are do they get a vial and measusre into a syringe? My friends son (16) went to get his and the lady was like oh this was empty, didn't you see me fill it? He was like no. I thought they came pre done so to speak and think they used a used syringe. i tried to call the clinic to ask and the person I got to help me didn't know and was unable to find someone to answer my question. We called a different clinic who indicated they were indvidual pre measured dosages. Can different places use different options?

| I'm pretty sure they come predosed because my mom works for a doctor and I used to (and still do occasionally) hear her talk about how many doses they have left, how many they got for the season, etc. |

| I got mine this past Tuesday. They come to my office building. They had a bunch of bottles with a bunch of syringes. They would pull from the bottle, give a shot and trash the syringe. |

| I work in a Doctors Office. The type of vaccine you get depends on who you buy your vaccine from. We usually always get the multi vial bottles. Its 10 injections in one bottle. So you take out a syringe draw up 1cc from the bottle then give the injection and toss the syringe One year we got the pre-filled syringes, but we didn't like it. The syringe in smaller and was cumbersome to hold! (just our opinion.) Some distributors have the pre-measured syringes made up already. It has the vaccine in it already and the needle is usally attached. You give the injections and toss. (its more convenient ~ but usually cost a little more due to the syringe and needle already being all ready go.)

YT 2000 Club Member | My son has a Primary Immune Defect and has been getting flu shots for 13 years and he has gotten the shot both way's over these years.I think that it just depends on the way they order the shot to come as. |

| Thanks guys. I was really worried that he got a used product. Sounds like the woman just totally messed up. The poor kid was so scared that he was going to die because she shot air into him that he wouldn't relax for the 2nd shot she gave him.
