| Strange and vivid dreams...do you get them?? I have ALWAYS been a dreamer...I can always remember my dreams and retell them the next day...my common law and my sons can never recall theirs and my daughter is much like me and we always tell each other our dreams from the night before...BUT Last night I had the strangest dream I have to share!! Its weird so dont laugh as I cant sleep tonight because I cant stop thinking about it..so bear with me..ok on to the dream: In my dream I got a call from a friend of a friend..she had a yorkie that she wanted to GIVE to me because she couldnt keep it any longer. When she brought it to me it was apparent that is wasnt a yorkie..it was a very small jack russell terrier..half its front leg was missing and on top if its head it had a third eye!!!! I soooooooooooo didnt want to keep this puppy as it scared me but couldnt get rid of it because I knew no one else would take it...in my dream I was soooo terrified of this three eyed dog but it was so dependent on me that in a way I loved it too...I know this dream dosent mean much when its retold and you cant imagine it if you didnt see it but it has been in my mind all day long and I cant shake it or stop talking about this dog...DAWN THE DOG NEVER EXSISTED!! But I cant get this stupid dog off my mind...its the weirdest feeling in the world..in a way (and I know this sounds nuts) I feel like I really had this dog...yes I warned you it sounds nuts!! My dream only got weirder... It involved a garage full of kittens, a tiny owl with a heart which opened up and out popped a check from Oprah...ok that part dosent matter LMAO...but tell me you dream strange things like this too??????? | I fall asleep to TV so usually have dreams that somehow reflect what was on TV before I fell asleep. For example CSI, the dream will be very CSI-ish, with the characters in the show but the storyline or plot are all whacky. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Freak! LOL. Kidding. The only way I can remember dreams is to write them down the second I wake up. I have a friend who is really in to analyzing dreams. I was skeptical because mine never made any sense. But he said it's just your subconscious mind resolving your problems and that there is usually a solution to what's bothering you in the dream somewhere. He also said that all the characters in the dream are usually different aspects of your own personality. (You don't have three eyes, do you? LOL. Sorry, couldn't resist.) So if I had a dream with my brother in it, it wasn't ABOUT my brother, it was about an aspect of his personality that I identify with. And if I dreamt about the dog, he'd want to find out how I felt about it. You felt fear, so what are you afraid of in your life? A lot of what he said made sense, but a lot of it seemed pointless. I eventually lost interest.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | My acting teacher at my school tells us to write down our dreams so that we remember them. She said it's like our subconcious, and we should be more intune with it. Or something like that haha. It made sense when she was explaining it. last night I had a dream about Mike and Rusty. but I don't remember details. I just remember that I was with them haha.

| I just read that when the brain of a dreaming person is studied, the part of the brain responsible for visual memory is in hyperdrive- way more active than when awake and the part of the brain that controls logic, rationality and coherence is completely off. That explains why dreams can be so vivid and weird. I know just what you mean though about how some dreams stick with you during the day. They are usually disturbing dreams and it's awful. That's great how well you remember yours in general though. I always have great intentions to write mine down but the follow through just isn't there.

And sweetr72, maybe you're worried about caring for your animals when you do get a job. You've got a dog with three eyes and a garage full of kittens that need your attention. You will need a check from Oprah! Nah, one of the things I didn't like about the dream analyzer is that he would tell me what they meant to him, and dreams are more specific. I think you gotta learn how to analyze your own.

| I always have very vivid dreams! I can usually remember so much detail that when I tell people a story they usually think I'm making half of it up! I always have such strong feelings too. I once had a dream that my dad was in an accident, and we found out he was driving drunk. My mom was so mad she wouldn't talk to him, and I was so mad at him but at the same time I was worried about how scared he must be, and I was scared he'd be locked up forever and I woke up with tears running down my face and I actually felt sick about that dream for a few days.

| I always have extremely vivid dreams and I usually remember them. Awhile back I had one that I had met the perfect guy, but then this Indian chief came to me and said that they guy was really a rock and the only way to keep him from turning into a rock again was if I married him and went to live with him on this huge ocean liner, just me, the guy, and our wait staff. BUt I could never see my family again. So I went but then I missed my family too much so I left the guy and he turned back into a rock.

| I take Ambien. It is like starring in a weird movie every night. They are the most vivid and realistic dreams I have ever had. They never make sense. It is a common side effect of Ambien, but I like it! I will miss the dreams when I stop taking it!
