| I just don't have the patience today My 4 year old is on my very last nerve. It just feels like she is finding and pushing every single button I have today. She has done nothing but throw tantrum after tantrum since she walked through the door. She didn't have rest time at school today and boy am I paying the price for it. I had to wash her special "blankie" - she had a meltdown. Put her in her room, she screams louder, put her in time out she screams even louder. Tried to get her occupied with crayons and paper - she threw them. That meant back to time out and more screaming. She took her socks today, well its cold so I told her to put them back on. She had a fit because she couldn't do it by herself. I put them back on her, she walked right into her bedroom and took them off. Back to time out - even more screaming. Everything makes her mad. She is throwing a fit because she doesn't want what I made for dinner. She threw a fit because my son looked at her. She threw a fit because I said no dinner - no candy. She threw a bigger fit when I told her she couldn't go to her Granny's house. She is taking a bath now and I am about to put her little butt to bed. I don't care if it is only 7:30. I understand she is having a bad day, but I am just tired and sick and can't deal with it today.

| I know it doesn't make it any better for you but we've all been there. Sometimes it just seems like they know you aren't at your best and do everything to piss you off. Hope tomorrow is better since I am sure she is in bed by now |

| She woke up this morning with a smile and a "I'm sorry, Mommy. I won't be bad NO MORE, OK? I promise, Mommy!" *sigh* Can't stay mad at something like that. I hope she has better day today and keeps her promise.

| My daughter is going thru the same thing with my grandson, he is not even 2 yet and he gets on her nerves, I suggested she get a small part time job, its hard i think when they are with only 1 parent all day, her hubby works like 12 hrs a day so he is always gone, I keep telling her it gets better i cant watch him alone because of my disabilty, so i feel a bit guilty because i cant help much, sounds like your daughter is a sweetie and loves her mommy so much my daughter takes a deep breath and counts to ten best to you

| Hope today is a good day for you. I have a 4 year old and two 16 year olds I feel like I am going to loose it any minute most of the times. If the boys are into or asking for something little miss Maya gets crazy for a little while. I need to get away for a weekend, but I can't leave Maya. Angie |

| Hang in there, it gets better Take lots of pictures, kids grow up way too fast. Our son was grumpy one day, I told him he needed to go to bed, we are having a big day tomorrow! He answers, "I don't wanta have a big day" He had such a cute pouty face, I took a picture and put it in his baby book. I named the picture "I don't wanta have a big day" When he turned 21, I gave him his book, he had so much fun looking back on when he was a kid, we laughed all night. Now when he has children of his own is well aware he was that way too

| Just got this from a good friend! PARENT - Job Description This is hysterical. If it had been presented this way, I don't believe any of us would have done it!!!! POSITION : Mom, Mommy, Mama, Ma Dad, Daddy, Dada, Pa, Pop JOB DESCRIPTION : Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an, often chaotic environment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call. Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities! Travel expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required. RESPONSIBILITIES : The rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily, until someone needs $5. Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also, must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf. Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and stuck zippers. Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects. Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all ages and mental outlooks. Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an embarrassment the next. Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices. Must always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. Must assume final, complete accountability for the quality of the end product. Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and janitorial work throughout the facility. POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT & PROMOTION : None. Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills, so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE : None required unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis. WAGES AND COMPENSATION : Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help them become financially independent. When you die, you give them whatever is left. The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more. BENEFITS : While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock options are offered; this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs and kisses for life if you play your cards right.
