| Playmate for Teddee I am hoping someone could direct me to finding a Yorkie buddy for my Teddee. He is just turned 3 yr old this week, and I think he would love someone his own age and size (9 lbs) to play with. I have searched the rescue sites and there are some possiblilities, but it would be easier if I could find someone closer to me in Vermont. I don't mind a 2 or 3 hour trip, so that would mean NH, MA, or NY. Any help I can get would be great.

| Oh "bump" means that I saw your thread hadn't been answered and I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to move it to the front page of new posts so that maybe someone who CAN help you would see it. I'm "bumping" your thread up to a more visible place. |

| Good news! I have found a playmate for Teddee. A rescue an hour away from my location has just received a young girl. I go to see her tonight and will most likely adopt her. yippee!

| Well, I have her! She is only 2, was rescued by a woman who lives about an hour from me. She picked her up in Ohio at a puppy mill. She was no good to the breeder because she had a prolapsed uterus and couldn't breed. She is very shy, but follows me around all of the time. She startles easily, but does come to me and loves to lay in my lap. Teddee was at first trying to keep her from coming to me but after working with them today, has decided she is going to stay so he might as well like her. lol. she has blended in so far with my "pack", and as time goes on she will be less fearful. She has never seen: a living room or furniture or been outside. All she has known is a cage. She doesnt know what treats are, eats very little, and doesnt seem to know anything about being a dog, like toys, etc. She is so sweet and pretty, only 6 lbs with big sad eyes. sorry this is so long, but I'm pretty excited about her and I think she is going to fit in just perfectly. I will post a picture this week.

| Oh my goodness, I am so happy to read this!! Congratualtions! I know how you feel, as I just "rescued" one myself. We've only had her since Saturday, so things are new, but she acts very much like you have described. Rudy and Dino are accepting of her, but she is very clingy and Im not sure how long they'll put up with that. Time will tell, and we have nothing but patience & love! Congrats again..I love a happy yorkie ending!! Janet Quote:
