| Anna and Barney working for food https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJal...ature=youtu.be I hope I did this right. They are working for their treats. Poor Barney can't wait on Anna so he tries to bump his way in and get hers.

| Oh, my, those two are JUST PRECIOUS! Barney reminds me of Tibbe doing his tricks and little Anna, how sweet is that?!?!? So very cute to see dogs working for their treats and boy, are they usually ever willing to work for food! LOL - the funniest thing just happened when I was watching your video. I have my computer resting on the left arm of my den couch when looking at YT and Tibbe is usually curled up on the end of the pillow right under the corner of the computer that sticks out over the couch cushion. It's his way of getting involved in YT with me I guess - getting as close to whatever I'm doing as he possibly can. And when he heard Barney bark out, he jumped in his sleep and bonked his head on the corner of the computer but lay right back down and resumed his snoring. Little mess has to be right in on whatever is going on - just as close in as he can be.

| Poor, Tibbe. That is so cute. Barney is just like that, nosey and curious about everything I'm doing. I have to thank you, Jeane, because your wise words are what made me realize how important this training is for their behavior and confidence. Back when we first got Anna and she was getting nippy. You gave me the great advice to start her on the nothing is free regimen. While we are still a work in progress, it is so much fun to see her working for her food now. It makes a lot of sense. I take so much pride in my job, why wouldn't my dogs get a sense of pride from what they do?

| Thanks. They have such opposite personalities. She is very vocal and let's everyone know her opinion and he is more timid and unsure of himself. The training is helping both of them.

| It sure looks like something worked for Miss Anna because she is working and concentrating hard on getting her commands right! Isn't it just so much fun to see them learning and trying to figure out what we want and get it right? I just love how much they want to please - whether it's just for the treat or the treat and the praise - they sure do love to learn and perform and get all the attention in the room. They KNOW when they are cute and putting on a show and just preen and show off. Anna and Barney both look to be very into their training. Anna's just adorable, Becky. I don't know how you came to get her but I kind of gathered from that last thread of your that she's kind of a recent acquisition because you were describing what sounded like old bad behavior problems of nipping at your son's heels and for some reason I just assumed she was kind of a rescue with "issues". Anyway, what a treasure she is. And oh, my, that precious, adorable Barney. He's a little stud muffin. Such a looker! They are quite a precious pair of Yorkies - you are so blessed. And then you have a Max, too! You certainly have a fine little family. Is Max into training, too?

We got Anna last May from a shelter here in Arkansas. We don't know a lot about her, except she was no longer useful for breeding. The foster said she refused to come out of her cage for several days after they got her. They feel that she spent very little time outside of a cage in her prior years. She was afraid of grass and wouldn't walk outside for several weeks. It took about a month to get her to run around in our back yard. She now loves it. After having her about a month, the "issues" began. She started biting anyone who came near me. You gave the wonderful advice to start training her. That was pretty hard at first because she had major food problems. She weighed 4 pounds when the shelter got her. She was very malnourished and was frightened of missing a meal. It's almost like a light bulb went off with her over the last few weeks. She loves training time and this has helped her weight issue because she is no longer allowed to gobble dinner down. She works for it, one piece at a time. Max has several health issues. So he doesn't work for his food. However, he stands behind me where I "drop" pieces of food. His trick is to clean up the floor.

Oh, that Joel. I have a list of things for him to teach Barney. First, I want him to teach Barnacles the bath trick. Then, fetch the phone. I love watching his videos.
