| Hi my name is Ginger, new to this site I am new to Yorkies. I could use some advice. I have become a foster mom of a five-year-old overweight Yorkshire terrier. I have a golden retriever and a Doxie and he's quite different than these two dogs. He seems to do a lot of vocalization he sounds like ......a baby sometimes. He has some thyroid issues and I think that is part of his weight issues. In the morning he does some play biting I think .......he doesn't actually bite so I guess it's play biting what do you think? He does the snoring when he's awake or asleep sort of funny. I have had him two weeks and he seems to think I was mother already. He won't really play with the other dogs. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated he is a real cutie and his name is Bailey. |

| You can try mixing in green beans with his food to get him to drop a few pounds. You can/should also be conscious with his treats. You could give him sweet potato chews or something similar.... Last edited by theporkieyorkie; 11-06-2013 at 10:13 AM. |

| welcome to yt and thank you for fostering bailey. i would give him sometime to come around with the other dogs. some prefer to be an only child but i think time really tells. they can be very vocal....mine are and cedric doenst stop talking to you until you give him what hes asking for. hehe. play biting maybe give toys instead...or something to chew on.....im sure others will chime in.
