| You Tube question just signed up with you tube. My first video that was about 2 min took about 12 min to upload to their sight is that normal. I belive the file is in windows media player. Should I have had it in a different format before uploading it, I can't belive most people deal with a 12 min upload each time. A message came back saying they detected it was shaky and asked if I wanted it fixed I said yes. How long does that take. Are youtube videos the only ones that can be posted here?

| Now I have another question, when I signed up with you tube, they asked for a user name, I put one in and then it asked for my name. I thought my name was for my account and like on YorkieTalk what would show to the public would be the user name, but that's not what happend, it shows as my name, or at least I think it does. Does anyone know how to change that. I looked under all the options I could find but nothing talks about that.

Try, clicking on your user name, selecting "settings" then click "advanced" under your user name. That seems to be the only place where you could make changes, otherwise you could just create a new account.

| I will probably do that, I have a user name that I use for just about everything, except for YT, it's the name of our boat, Ms PatriYacht so I will switch to that in the next few days. Now a days I understand that from your photos they can sometimes tell where they are taken, and since I am taking most of them from my home I really don't want that to show up. do you know if that is the same with videos on YouTube I wish I could figure out how to tell if that was happening. One time I posted the name of our lake on a photo in facebook and it immediately linked a google map of the lake to the photo. This lack of privacy stuff is getting out of hand. I worry about it a little, the girl I mentor comes from a wacked out family and I really don't want them to have a map to my door. I am sure they could find it if they tried but I don't want to make it easy for them.

This is why most people have multiple accounts. There's stuff you want to share with some people, but not with others. You could make one just for YT shares that you don't mind anyone seeing, and another one or family, etc....that's what I do. Things that I'd want to share with family & friends (especially those that live far away), I wouldn't necessarily want to share with co-workers...ya know?

That's why I rarely post anything I'm doing or going to do, and don't post until after the fact. I see people online posting all the time that they are going somewhere on vacation/holiday...to me it's like screaming the contents of their house is up for grabs as no one will be home. When I sold my last house, the realtor said to put away any valuables and made sure that the walk-through video didn't show artwork, tvs/electronics & computers, etc. She said people watch the videos to see where things are located in the house to then break in & steal them.
