| Zoey trying to bond with our older pup, cj...lol Our new addition, zoey featuring our beloved cavalier spaniel, cj (who clearly shows he wants nothing to do with our new puppy ).... |

| I envisioned playing together and having lots of fun, but cj won't acknowledge her! I'm so dissapointed. Does anyone have any suggestions? Cj is being a grouch! |

| Just give them time to adjust. When I brought my Sassy home 5 months ago my other 3 Yorkies hated her. I was afraid I would have to take her back but they have adjusted, and tolerate her now and she is part of the family.

| They are both very cute and you should not try to force anything. Over time they will probably become best friends. I have 7 dogs and each time I have brought one home there is an adjustment period. Eventually they find their pecking order and things fall into place.

| It looks to me that CJ is establishing a peckign order. My mom's Cairn does the same thing when Gizmo and my brother's dog are over. She'll "tolerate" Gizmo and play with him (keep in mind they've been around each other longer) however, when Gizmo get's out of line, she'll verbally put him in his place. She's never hurt him, however, she's like him now quite loudly when she's had enough. Give it time. They're establishing dominance and I'm sure Zoey will figure out who is dominant and who is submissive quickly. Just constantly supervise so you can give CJ a break from Zoey every once in awhile.
