Yorkie Yakker | Thank you - I simply refused to have their tails docked after I did research and then saw the video with the puppies playing in the ball pit! At first my husband and daughter were really upset with me, but after even our Vet said NOT to dock, they came around - Now they just drool at the sight of wagging tails! The little one with the adorable face is Aggie - she has both mom and dad's best features. But then, they all do! I am just so in puppy love! |

| I have never heard anything bad about the docking. What did you find? I may have to change my mind about docking the tails.

Yorkie Yakker | Yes - mommy Zoie sits on her perch and plays with them - it is so cute and funny to watch. She is basically through with weaning but jumps in and out of the palace - the pups converge on her and practically lift her up in the air. |

| Ok seriously, I would not be able to give up any of those faces . . .I'd have to keep them all . . . It's good that I got Rhianna spayed . . .I wanted a litter myself . . .but seeing those cute faces would have me begging my husband to keep them all . . .

Yorkie Yakker | On Tail docking, one place is here: YorkieInfoCenter | Yorkshire Terrier Tail Docking Primarily docking tails are done because the AKC requires this for show dogs, as do several others. An interesting point is that the United Kingdom does not recommend this: Anti-Docking Alliance Web Site There is also an adorable video here: Why Yorkies Should Not Get Their Tails Docked and a real great article here: Dog Tail Docking: Issues and Health Implications of Docking, whether on a Boxer or a Puppy I really though long and hard on this issue. I have nothing against those who do or sell their pups and command the high price for registry, or because of being a show quality breeder. I did show my dogs many years ago, have always had AKC as well, but I love their tails and know they are as adorable as Yorkies who don't have tails. |
