| Tiffy Montage Thanks. I enjoyed doing the montage. This is my first yorkshire terrier puppy and the reason I joined yorkietalk was to learn more about the breed. My other dog is a German Sheperd and raising him was much different from raising her. I do have a question about house breaking. I have been EXTREMELY consistent with her since I got her at 3 months old. She is being crate trained and since I stay home all day with her she is taken out quite ofter. She is 6 months old as of 8/24 and she still doesn't ask to go out. She does not mess either one of her crates (one is small to sleep in at night the other is my shepherd's former crate very large(she uses it during the day sometimes when I can't watch her. Do you have any suggestions for potty training? She potties on comand outside when I take her out. But won't tell me when she needs to go out. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Judy |

I'm certainly no expert and can only speak for my two girls, but neither of them "ask" to go out. Sissy will just sit and look at me - that is her one and only signal. Angel doesn't do anything at all, except maybe start to run around a little faster when she needs to go. Yorkies can be very temperamental and potty training takes much longer than other breeds. There are some folks here who swear by the potty bells. Good luck!!
