| Hi, I am new! Is my Yorkies ears too big?? :-) Hello, I am new to this website and I really am enjoying reading all the talk and pictures about yorkies. I am wondering is my yorkies ears supposed to be this big? Is she maybe not full yorkshire terrier? Her picture is on my avatar. When do they change color and can they stay mostly black? I am so full of questions! |

| Welcome to YT! I wouldn't worry about her ears unless you plan on showing or breeding, personally I think all yorkies are adorable, and big ears or not just love her for what she is! The color thing will depend on your baby's parents and grandparents. Copper looks just like one of his grandparents. I am sure some of the breeders on here could give a little more insight. What is her name, can you post pics?

| Your baby still looks young. A lot of times, they have to kind of grow into their ears. I know Sadie's looked really big but then she grew some & they didn't look too big.

YT 500 Club Member | I remember the comments we got about how big our baby's ears were when we got her. They seemed huge. She is six, and she has grown in to them, and she is every bit a normal Yorkie. The fact that they stand up is great!

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Here's your pup. The tricky part about posting pictures is getting them the right size. They should be around 400 x 600 pixels. I had to shrink the one you had on the gallery. Once you do that, it's simple: * After writing your message, scroll down and click on "manage attachments." * Click on "choose file." * Click on choose * Click on upload. * When it finishes uploading, close window and then submit reply. Cute pup. I don't know what the AKC guidelines are for ears, but I've seen them big and small. Doesn't seem to make any difference. They are all cute, and yours is especially so.

| Welcome to YT. I think they need to grow into their ears. when she gets more hair and her head gets bigger, they will look perfect. |
