| pictures for mardelin she requested of maggie Is there a possibility of you taking a close up pic of her coat. I'd like to see if her coat reflects light.....also, like to see the furnishings on her feet. I love the fact that she's holding color..... I have attached the close ups you wais you would like to see. I would like to find out what kind of coat she has if you can tell by these. thanks are these up close enough to tell anything about?

| thanks you both but what does her coat is holding beautiful mean? I take it as something good, with the word beautiful in it. lol . I'm dumb about these lil babies but if I ever got another dog, this is the only kind I think I would ever want again, silky or not.

| I'm a sucker for teddy bear-like pups........her feet do remind me of "bedroom slippers".......she sure is PRECIOUS.......I can't tell you what her coat is as I am no expert-but I did tell you my educated guess modified silk or cotton...... Look at V's girls...........aren't they STUNNING?

She appears silk to me.....what I'm seeing on her ends is the remanents of puppy coat. I never start trimming coat on my show dogs, until almost to the ground.....however, if you do, maybe an 1/8 of inch a month....Her little feet do need trimming though.

| thank you, I've felt like she needed trimming for a while, but I'm scare to let anybody trim her because I am scared they would get it too short. And hubby would really not be happy even if he noticed a cut on her hair any place. Do you think she will ever have a long pretty coat? I appreciate your opinion. Thanks.

I'm sure she'll have a nice coat.....but, a show coat, do you really want her to. A lot of work and care goes into that....besides not allowing them on furniture, grass, carpet, etc. Only allowing them on satin. Though all my show dogs are my pets, the care for it is a little more intense. And you all would be die laughing if you knew the products I used to clean and groom a show dog.

| shes had so many different products because she is such a picky eater and she dont eat much of any of it. I was feeding her 3 dog bakery in the morning and leaving dry nutro natural choice small bites out for her all day. the 3 dog bakery food is all natural human food its soft yet not soggy. But I do give her omega 3,6,9 every other day. thinking I might start her on flint river ranch, since she got a sample and is eating it good. its all natural foods too. I think her coat isnt full enough or looks fuzzy/ broken on the ends.

| Maggie has a very beautiful coat!! And look at those cute feet!! Can I jump in on this thread?? Mardelin, I was wondering if you could tell me what you think of Scampers' coat. I always felt like it was silk because it feels so silky and is always shiny and seems to really reflect the light. His parents and grandparents both had nice thick silk coats. I just second guess myself. He has never had a really good trim, his hair seems to grow slow and I have been waiting for it to get really long before he gets it cut. Also, do you have any suggestions for the hair breaking?? I put his hair up in a topknot all the time. But it has caused some serious damage. You can see the hair is broken and it feels so dry compared to the rest of him. I don't want to cut the topknot off and I have tried clips and scrunchies but they don't stay in. I have tried the sea breeze oil and it has helped it from getting worse but hasn't helped really get any better. Here is a picture of Scamp's coat. Don't mind his ears, they tend to flop down when he is sleeping. He really needs a good trimming, all of his ends are dry and he still has some of the puppy coat on him because on his head he still has three colors. His head is all gold but if I trimmed it down to where you see that his head is all gold, he wouldn't have enough hair to put in a top knot. So I have been trimming a tiny bit and little by little you can start to see the gold rather than the old puppy hair that was black and silver.
