| Ever hear that mewing sound? Last night I came home and Jerry greeted me at the door as he usually does with tail wagging and all that, so I bend down to pet him and all that and he's still sitting there after Im done petting him and Im wondering what he wants. So, I go down to face him and ask him whats wrong, so he turns his head and I kissed him on his neck and he just sat there and made this sort of mewing sound, so I picked him and he starts lifting and turning his head wanting me to kiss him on each side of his neck and then he just sat there in my arms making that mewing sound. It was really wierd because he usually wants affection like that only early in the morning or before bed, but I thought it was pretty awesome and kind of a cool moment. Anyone one else hear that mewing sound? Michael |

| Wow! I've never heard that sort of sound from a yorkie. I'm hoping that others respond to this saying that theirs do it. So, Jerry wasn't feeling ill or having a tummy ache or anything? He was just being his adorable self? If he was ok, then that is just the cutest thing! |

| ohhhh how cute! Both Simon and Hallie do that. Simon when I'm kissing his tummy before bed and Hallie does it when I pick her up to kiss her. It is the sweetest baby sound! I LOVE it, it is one of my favorite sounds! |

| Jerry will also do this thing in the morning sometimes where he'll lay on his side and left his arm up so it's easier for you to get to his tummy ...its hilarious ...and yes making that sound... Michael |

| Yep! Toto makes all kinds of little newborn baby sounds [she is almost 2!]. She seldom barks except at play but she has a conversational little language that causes us to get lots of odd looks sometimes! I have never seen one that wants so badly to communicate! Do encourage those sounds!!

| Mewing sound Cookie makes that sound too - but it is when I am doing something and she sits beside me, pawing my arm. She also does a kind of sound that sounds like she is saying "now" or "wow-wow" then she does what I describe as "chattering" as though she is mimicking human speak. She only does this when she wants attention or to tell me that it's bed time (she curls up on my pillow or goes under the quilt at night) Nice to know that ol' Cooks isn't the only "cat-dog, haha |

| Lily also does this when she is about to go to sleep. She does so many things that remind me of a cat, I was beginning to wonder about her. Glad to hear your Yorkies do it too.
