Bebe Bear Are yorkies supposed to be really hyper? My Bebe seems to never sleep anymore. She's only 12 weeks old. I thought they sleep alot. How do you calm a puppy down?

Welcome Bebe is beautiful! She probably sleeps a lot more than you realize. 12 week old pups are very playful little cirtters. They eat, sleep, poop & pee and PLAY!

Thanks, Chattiesmom! When I brought her home, she slept the whole day. Now I hardley see her sleep. When I wake up, she is already awake. When I sleep, she is still awake. The way she acts, you would think I fed her coffee or something. She is like a toddler when you feed them sugar. Having a yorkie is like having a real baby. Hehehe...

Cuddles does not want to miss anything.....I swear she is like a child. You know how little ones never want to go to sleep......well, Cuddles will be so tired and be sitting when her head starts bobbin. One day her chin hit the floor. It is so funny to watch......but she does nt want to miss a thing !!!!! Blessings

| Aww, your baby is adorable! One of mine goes 24/7 also and the other one would be content to sleep in my lap all day I agree, I feel like I'm the mommy of 2 little babies. Gone are the days of sleeping-in on the weekends - LOL!

Oh my goodness she has the cutest little face! When I first got my girl she just wanted to sleep. All the stress of moving to a new home tires them out. Now there is certain time block during the day where she just wants to play, play and play some more with a few power naps in between. Then at night she just wants to snuggle in my lap for the duration of the night.

Thanks Guys! OMG! Now I feel at ease. I'm glad to hear all the wonderful stories of your yorkies. They are a funny breed. Hehehe.. But it was worth all the sleepless nights and dedication. I guess if I can handle a puppy, then raising a child would be a breeze, right? Yeah right. Hey. One step closer.

Bebe Bear Hello, I am Gracie and Molly's mother. I am new to the site, but have enjoyed some of the talk. My little Gracie is 5 mo. old, she is very, very active. We have found that if we take her with us when we go somewhere, for instance, my mother is in a nursing home and when we go see her we take her with us, it is amazing but she isn't nearly as active, I guess she is a little shy is all we can figure out. We also take her to Pet Smart and when we get her home she will sleep for hours the rest of the day and night. Good Luck Hope this helps

I just love the demented puppy stage, watching them take 42 dashes around a table, pouncing and bouncing like a demented little Bunny. It's just so damn cute

| What a cutie pie Bebe is. Just when I was getting a full nights sleep with Reesie we got our second baby girl...Abbie. Now it's up and down all night again....but well worth it. I love that name by the way.

Awwwww.. your yorkie is sooooooo adorable! They are like babies. I haven't had any good sleep, unless she is at my parents place. Hehehee... Thanks! It was hard for me to pick a name for her that was so common.
