| Surgery Sophie goes in to be spayed and have some baby teeth removed in the morning. I am sick just thinking about it. She is my baby and I don't want to leave her. They are going to do the surgery early in the morning and if all goes well I will get to go pick her up later in the evening. Do you think it is o.k. to pick her up the same day as surgery or should I leave her over night. I picked up my poodle that same evening and everything was fine. My dogs are so attached to me my vet seems to think they will get better faster with me around them. |

| My girl is getting this done in 2 months. If they let her come home that evening I am bringing her mome. All they would do is lay in a cage there. I think they are better off at home where someone would be watching them and giving TLC.

| I cried so bad when I left Sophie I forgot to tell them some other things I wanted done. I got half way down the road and had to turn around and go back. They were really sweet about it. Even though I felt like an idiot. The lady at the desk had her Yorkie rapped in a blanket laying on the table next to her. I know she is in good hands but it is hard not to worry. She is my baby. |

| I perfectly understand your feelings of sadness when you left Sophie at the clinic . I have had the same feeling when I let Gioia and I am not ashame to say that I cried a lot on my way home . I have been near the phone until the vet call to say she was fine . When the time came to take her home , I was stepping up and down saying " Gioia will be home , Gioia will be home soon " , just like a child . |

| It is hard to leave your furbaby, but it is the best thing for them. I have always brought mine home that same day, even if she is a little sleepy she will be so glad to see you and by tomorrow she will almost back to her self. I have read other thread that say there vet gives them pain meds, none of mine have ever got any. Pleas let us know how your little Sophie does.

| Sophie is doing wonderful. I was suprised to see how well she was acting when I went to pick her up. The nurse said when she heard my husband and I talking she starting wiggling her little butt. She had to have 4 teeth pulled also so the vet gave her some pain med. just in case I thought she needed it. He said it is not routine to do so but because she had to have so many teeth pulled and the surgery that he would give her some. So far she doesn't seem to need them. I am just glad to have her home. Thanks for your concern it feels good to know people care. |

| I'm so glad to hear she is doing well. My lexi was out of it when we brought her home, and when she started waking up she seem to be in a lot of pain. She seems fine now and already back to being hyper. I can't get her to stop jumping though...
