| Hello to all, new yorkiepoo addition to family My wife and I got a yorkiepoo recently, he is 10 weeks old, all black and full of love... Working on pad training him, but overall he is a great little dog! I am a stay at home dad who runs a candle business from home so we spend alot of time with "Buddy" here (my daughter named him buddy). http://www.austincandles.homestead.com/buddy.gif We are learning and trying to train him as he learns and trys to train us at the same time LOL... Anyways I found this forum and will no doubt have questions along the way about Buddy and such, looking forward to reading up on many topics here... Bill Austin East Lansing MI

I went to visit my mom and she was begging me to leave him with her (he found a nice nitch up behind her neck most of the time we were there) and asked me to leave him and find myself another dog, I felt terrible taking him home but I love him too! hehe I talked to the lady I got him from but the litter was all gone, she even asked me if we breed him could she have one, the problem is I don't have a mate for buddy to breed with to provide her with one but I sure would love another one of him... I have been looking around the midwest board for anyone who knows of yorkiepoos in her area (northwest indiana/chicagoland region). I am in East Lansing MI but travel to see my mom once a month or so. Bill

YT Addict | Welcome and congrats on the new edition!! He is adorable. My parents have a Yorkapoo as well. They rescued him a couple of years ago. He has more of the poodle personality than the Yorkie. He has the markings of a Yorkie and the curly coat like a poodle.

| Awww he is a cutie. I also have a YorkiePoo named Bradley. Bradley is 75% yorkie and 25% Poo...he weighs 14 pounds and we all thought he would be around 5-8 LOL.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. So gald you found us! Your little Buddy is adorabel. I know I say that a lot but I mean it sincerely. He really is. Ilove black dogs. I actually have a black standard poodle named Jet. He is a real love. I grew up with poodles. They say poodles and shepards are the top two most intelligent dogs. We love pictures here so share lots! |

| Thanks for the welcome from everyone, wasn't sure since Buddy is a mix breed if mixed breeds were even really discussed here but as I read more I find yep there are many! Btw I looked at OREO above OMG what a cute little guy he is! As for buddy heck I dunno he could be 5-10-15 + I don't care really, just as long as he keeps his lovey nature about himself... I am a stay at home dad so I am here all day with him (altho he attaches himself to my wife moreso) but he is SUPER affectionate and just loves to lay around the back of your neck on the couch or on my lap most of the time... He is nocturnal tho right now its 130 am and he is running full sprint from one end of the house thru the kitchen (sliding on floor) to his bed LOL I only WISH I had taken his brother that day, my mom wants mine so bad but I can't give him up we are too attached, if I had his brother (who i ALMOST took with us) then she could at least have him,,, I must find a nice little yorkiepoo for her soon, or a yorkie mix or yorkie that isn't soo expensive. Actually I wish I had a way to breed him and give mom one, keep another for myself, he is just that darn cute to me and I couldnt have asked for a more loving dog, I am just so happy to have him wow what a pet can do for a person its amazing.. Before Buddy we were just tv watching bored at night, now we go for walks, do grooming, play with him, and mostly just enjoy his lovey company... I only wish I had gotten his brother that day too UGHHHH!!! Bill

| Welcome to YT, Bill and congratulation on your new baby. Maggie is our 10 week old baby. You will love this site. It has helped me so much. I have never owned a toy baby before. They for sure have a whole different set of rules than the larger dogs. Holler anytime you need info. The answers come from the heart and most of all-----experience. |

| What a beatiful baby!! Hi Bill! Congrats to you and your fam on the wonderful new addition. Buddy is beatiful! I grew up with 2 Yorkies and 1 toy poodle -- both great breeds so your Yorkiepoo must be awesome! My husband and I just got Mojito as well. He's 13 weeks old and a little bundle of love and energy! Welcome to YT. I'm a new member as well but it's been a great resource for me over the past few days. The folks on this site know what they're talking about! Mojito & Irmi |
