| Talking my parents into a 2nd yorkie... I 've been thinking about getting a second yorkie and now would be the best time becuase Bentley is 6 months and the older he gets the more he wont want another yorkie around! My parents and I have never had 2 dogs before, we did have a dog and a cat at one time but the cat was older so it really was like she just slept all day. Anyways my mom feels it would be too much work having two when really I pretty much am home with Bentley 80% of the time and take him to the vets and stuff so I do most of the work now with one. I was also like afraid that I would start to like one more then the other and that I wouldnt be able to give them each the attention they need. I would really love to get a second yorkie because they are incrediable dogs and then Bentley would have a playmate. I guess what Im asking in the end to the people here that have two yorkies is it hard work and do you find that you like one more then the other or are able to give them both equal attention? |

| More the merrier. My dad thought my husband and I were nuts to get two. But if you can get one inside, the other will follow. They become the best of friends. My two were brothers and then last year we actually got their niece!!! Then, my dad thought we were really nuts. But in two days, all there were laying together. Right now, we are down to two again, but I know that within a year, we will get another. They keep each other company and what is so nice about yorkie's is that there is always more room on a person's lap. They don't each much and it is so much fun to watch the different personalities. Keep my posted. |

| My husband, the one who complains about them, wants two more and name them Crockett and Tubbs from Miami Vice. He didn't stand up to them when they were puppies, so they boss him around. Yeah doggies!!! Keep my posted about your new baby |

| I Own two Yorkies and at first it was hard, i'm not going to lie to you. But you know people said it gets better.. and It Did! I don't love one more than the other, i love them so much both equally. I think it would be a great Idea for you to get your little one a companion and get one soon before he gets to old and might get jealous. I do love the company of having two yorkies, cause yorkies rule! and having two is just so much fun, never a dull moment. and you always know that there are two furbabies waiting to see you everyday! I too have never owned two dogs at the same time in my life. well maybe i did when i was two, but i never took care of them. So this was a big step for me and i'm glad i got two. I'm actually wanting to get a third! and then maybe later down the road i want a 4th! Whatever you decide, best wishes and hope all works out with the parentals! |

| i agree with yorkie girl, dont wait too long coz it can cause jealousy, Chelsey is just 5 months old and she acted like a brat when we brought Chanel home, shes finally starting to be a little nice to her Yes its hard work running after 2 but i think in the long run it ll pay off and no there's no such thing as loving the one more then the other ... ur love will be shared equally Let us know what happens Good luck

| onlyambs, go for it! I had never had two dogs either but when I got Bo we already had a Schnauzer we had had for 8 years. For a month I thought it was a mistake but now they play all the time and sleep end to end. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

| Two are better than one! I got my boys within three weeks of each other. I cannot imagine how I surived those three weeks with just one LOL. I love havign two, yes until they are trained it is like all you do is clean up pee and poop, but once trained it is worth it. I now want #3 a female (I have two boys) yes, they get jealoous of each other, but they are small dogs and I have a large lap LOL. Do it, the more the merrier. |
