| Long Yorkies I would like to see some side view pics of long yorkies. Sophie is 14 inches from the base of the neck to the base of her tail. I still have to get her 12 inch clothes or they are to big in the body. I am thinking of cutting her hair and I am afraid of how it will look because she is so long and skinny. She looks fat but her hair is just super thick. I would like to see some that have shorter hair. I am scared to death to cut it but want to at the same time. Here are a couple of side view pics of Sophie so you can see how long she is.

| She looks a teeeeeny bit longish, but she's soooo pretty! I love Sophie! She would look gorgeous regardless of the cut! Maybe just don't trim her super short, keep her hair a few inches long.

| Wynstn Too Hello, Your Baby looks soooooooooo cute. My Wynstn is very long also. His mother was 6 pounds and his father was 3 pounds and Wynstn is 10 pounds! I keep his hair long, but when we take him to the lake and he is all wet then you can see his length and everyone still loves him, he will look good either way! Margaret

| I love her long hair! I agree that yorkies are sooo long. I pretty much have to make all of chloe's clothes otherwise they are so short they look ridiculous on her. She is AS long as she is wide which is kinda unusual dog measurements. I only find that this happens with yorkies. Dachsunds are long of course but the still have deeper chest. Yorkies are soooo long and skinny My yorkie is about the same length as my chihuahua and less than half the size! Crazy huh? lol

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | WOW she DOES have alot of hair ! She doesn't really look that long to me - I've seen longer yorkies...she just has ALL that hair Chanel looks chubby to me too - her and Cheri are EACH 12" long - but Chanel is twice as big - and what I do is thin her hair rather than cut it - I use a dematting comb and just rake it thru her hair and it takes out some of the volume - it makes her look like she lost a pound when I first do it Our girls have similar hair - Chanels was really dark like that when she was little....after a groomer cut her too short - it grew back lighter but I loved the dark color |

I love her hair and I hope you can keep it long. I think that comb looks like an awesome idea to try first. Hope it works. Sophie is such a cutie!

| Of course, I love her long hair, but am sure she'll be adorable whatever you end up doing. Ginger's really long, she's 15 " from neck to tail. Same thing, all of her clothes are short on her, but if I order them long enough they are way too big around! Anyway, I'm not on the right computer to attach a lot of pics, but when I get a chance I'll add them. (as you know, she's always had pretty short hair, I'm just now trying to grow it).

| I had finally decided to cut it. I knew I shouldn't have mentioned it on here. LOL! I think we will just have a slight trim and try the comb that Villette told me about. Thanks everyone for your nice comments.

| I gotta agree with chachi, she is beautiful with her hair long. But, since you asked for pics of long yorkies with short hair, I found these couple on this computer. I hope they help... As you can see, she used to have really dark hair too. It got a lot lighter when we cut it!
