| Don't worry It might just be that the cage is to big and you may want to start out with something a little smaller and work your way up depending on the size of your little guy it may just be to overwhelming for him. You could also try wearing a shirt or socks and getting them all nice and sweaty then taking them off and putting them in the cage for your little guy. As disgusting as it sounds, it will make him feel better because he will feel like he has a piece of you in his cage. Now some people may disagree with me on this and I know you've only had your little one for about 4 days but keep his cage somewhere that's familiar not locked up in a bathroom to stop him from hearing noise or you from whining. Preferably next to the bed if you can handle it. After awhile he should wind down. I'd take most of the toys out of the cage during the night as those should only serve to spin him up. I'm guessing he didn't make a noise the first night because he was so exhausted and probably passed right out from the days events. |

i have found with Chelsey that if i put on her Pjamas she sleeps right through the night, she chills down real fast and will wake up feeling really cold... i also used to put her in bed with us, but it deprived me from getting much sleep coz i was scared to crush her... Good luck

| Yes, that totally works. I lined the bottom of my baby's crate with some (clean) fleece pjs of mine. Also, what I use to do when he started to cry in his crate is that I would lay down on the floor in front of his crate and sleep. I wanted him to be able to feel like I was there and slowly he began to learn to sleep through the night. It'll take a few days before he doesn't cry, remember he's in a new environment with a fairly new person, etc. I know you're suppose to let them cry, but he misses the warmth from his mommy-so you are now the one to provide that warmth and comfort he needs. Just be patient (it's heart-wrenching, I know) but he'll get use to it. Also, make the crate space just big enough for him to be able to move and sleep (not enough to run and play in though.) and drape a blanket over it. One more thing, see if it's that he has to go to the potty (Louie use to cry sometimes and I thought he was just wanting attention) and it was because he had to pee, I'd wake up and find his crate all wet. Try not to feed your baby 2-3 hours before bedtime. Just a tip that has worked for me. Good luck and keep us posted!

| Asia cried alot when I first got her also. She will get use to it, but I know it breaks your heart to hear him cry. After a couple of weeks I found out that if I let Asia fall asleep on the couch with me I could then carry her to the crate and she just went right back to sleep. |
