Oscar's first pool party!

We rode the Harley to Knoxville, Tennessee this weekend for a big cookout at our bosses house. They had a pool and Oscar and I could not resist! Here is Oscar floating on his momma having a good ole time! He was not the least bit afraid and later I put his leash on his harness and let him swim a little...he was just like a little fish and swam and never missed a lick! Only problem I had was keeping him from trying to drink the water...he thought he was in a great big ole water bowl!!! In the last pic, Oscar and I were just hanging out under the pavilion waiting on the food to get ready!!! They cooked a whole hog and all the fixins...thank goodness for my "fat patch" I was wearing!!! Oscar had the best time...he got to run off leash and play. They had a poodle and an english bulldog pup came but Oscar did not have anything to do with either of them! Sure hope he warms up to Wosie this next weekend!!!

I have a padded seatbelt harness that I got at Petsmart. It has a laniard that has a hook on the end that I hook to my belt buckle to keep him on my lap. He also has a pair of Doggles that he wears to protect his eyes! He loves to ride and has been riding like this since he was about 9 months old. Here is a pic taken last year of him on the Harley with us! He really does love to ride. If I thought he did not enjoy it, I would never take him on the bike! We rode this weekend with a friend of ours and he told me how much Oscar looked like he enjoyed the ride...such a happy look on his face!

Ahhhhh Life is SO tough when you're a yorkie....Especially Ocsars Moms yorkie ! GREAT Pictures - the pool shots made me really REALLY miss the water...What a pretty setting for a cookout

Yeah...I so loved that pool! I would almost go to Walmart and buy one of those little cheapy pools with the inflatable top part...you know the big blue ones you see everywhere? At least it would be a place to float and get wet when you wanted to...problems is, we don't have a level place to put one right now...guess I need to get a shovel and start digging huh??? Yeah right...not in THIS lifetime!!!

Thats soo cute! I wonder if the harness would work on a crotchrocket, lol. how much was the harness? I'll have to take the dog on my dads harley and see if he likes it.

Oh I don't know about the crotchrocket! It works really well with two riders...he rides right in between the two of us. The harness was around $20 I think. I have seen it on Petsmart.com.

We are meeting Glad, Dave and Wosie this weekend up in the Smokies for a weekend of riding Harley's with Yorkies!!! I will have to get Glad to shoot some video of Oscar so you can see what a ball he has!!! He has never been afraid of the Harley...always loved it!

We are going to have SO MUCH FUN!! You BET I will shoot some video, and if today's ride is any indication, probably about 200 still shots as well, lololol!!!!!!!!!

Hahahah I know I"m joking...but honestly not trying to be dumb or anything, do you think it would be OK for jetskis (I would be driving, not 2 passangers, so it would go infront of me). My dad has a harley so when I get the pup I'll definitly make dad take me and the pup for a ride on it. My bf has a crotch rocket, but yeah I dont think it would be to comfy w/ a dog on it.
