Here's our sweet little Rexy - we decided to tape up his ears to see if they will stand. He doesn't seem to mind it at all - but as you can see, he's got his special bone to keep him busy!

They look so funny with their ears taped. The people who did Ollie's just folded the ear together and taped them. they were like tiny little spikes.

My daughter said she was going to turn me in to the authorities for puppy abuse -

and my sister-in-law said she opened his picture at work and the people there thought I had dressed him up for Easter in bunny ears

He doesn't seem to mind at all - but it sure does look funny!

I saw that example of folding into little spikes - maybe I will try that next, if this doesn't work!

OK...I'm sure this is a dumb ? but here goes. As most of you know I got Bonnie as an adult so I didn't go through the puppy stages, but doesn't that hurt

when you take the tape off of them?? Seems like it would pull their hair out.

You're right - it could hurt! We had Rexy groomed on Wednesday and had ALL the hair shaved off from his ears, top to bottom - so they are nearly bare. We used masking tape and I tested it - it didn't pull the hair on his ears at all. I think there are some short hairs around the base of his ears that may pull a bit when I take it off. But I think if I catch him in a sleepy mood and he is still, that I can gently work loose the short hairs that may be stuck to the tape. Hopefully, it won't be too traumatic!

Oh yeah...just like it didn't hurt when your mother pulled that band aid off

You don't have to leave the tape on long at all...a couple of days. He is cute...like a baby doberman
