| Monty's Summer Cut - Ouch Hmmm.... so I went to a groomer recommended for her skill. I am NOT impressed and really kinda sad actually. She didn't put any character into the cut at all and I console myself with "it is not life threatening and it WILL grow back" I actually can't believe how disappointed I am. I love him so much and I feel like I let him down because the scruffy is what everyone loved but no ... I had to be a bit practical and want his fur shorter for the heat and also so things like his training collar fit better. Maybe I wasn't clear when I asked for a puppy cut? She told me that a puppy cut is where they trim the nails and feet and eyes and that's it. I let her know that I wanted him a little bit shorter but with some style. Hmmmm.... I don't know if it's the stress of the day but I am feeling kinda devastated... sigh. |

| I think he looks great!! very handsome (as ever) just a little more refined! He knows he's handsome no matter what.. Just has that confidence in his eyes. I personally think she did a great job at the "puppy cut". |

| Well if its any consolation at all, I took my little girl Zoe (5mos) for her first cut, (3 weeks ago). I was also devastated. She looked butchered in the face, all gaped up. the groomer was so nice, I blame myself for not knowing how to express what I wanted and I think Zoe probably was not on her best behavior. I just kept telling myself its only hair and it grows back, its already much better and looks great. So give it a couple of weeks and he will be back to his usual self. lovemyyorkie |

| I think he looks adorable. That's what I imagine a puppy cut, honestly. I prefer the shorter hair it's so easy haha.

| My puppy looks like your "before" photos currently, and he is due for his first puppy cut Friday. I'm nervous because I don't want him to look terribly different, but also need it shorter because of the heat. Monty is still cute in his "after" pictures though! Probably happier in the heat as well.

| After loving and raising yorkies myself for over 35 yrs. your adorable baby look 100% yorkie to me. 2 of my own 'kids' are black and gold. i really think your groomer needs to do her research better, like the others have said. lol, not to you but your poor groomer. blessings and keep loving that beautiful baby! |

| I forgot to add, that i have 2 senior kid yorkies And they love the puppy cut, esp. my trinket...who is just a bit overweight, yeah right At her age, and with no teeth left, at 13 She loves her hair cut short. that way she doesn't sweat so much. Her added wt, if from feeding her soft food (baby food to her) and she constantly talks to me, telling she needs it. I believe at that age, she can enjoy anything she wants now |

| I know now exactly how you feel! I was nervous about Max's first cut. We just picked him up from the groomer, and he looks absolutely nothing like did before. His hair is even short than your after pics. I too asked for a puppy cut, and she completely shaved off every bit of hair on his body. Never again, I'll do it at home from now on. How long before you think it will start to grow back?

| I so can relate...I too for the longest time played with the idea of getting Lexi's haircut shorter. She wears clothes all the time and I know she must get warm (especially in the summer) but she won't move if she is nekkid anyways I finally gave in and had her cut shorter and I won't ever do that again we were all devasted it did grow back and yes not life threatening I do however, think your little furbaby looks cute its probably just the change your not use too...still adorable

YT 2000 Club Member | dog Be very careful who grooms your dog. I will never take my yorkies to a pet store groomer. I have a home groomer. There's no stress taking them out and I can watch the groomer. Please find someone you can trust. Some groomers cut fur too short or razor burn them. Hit them with a hairbrush terrible stuff. |
