| Introduction and pics of new parti Yorkie Hello from Central Texas! Long-time Yorkie owner, first time poster. My family recently adopted what we were told was likely a parti Yorkie from a rescue organization out of Houston. Emmie Lou is adorable, well-trained and full of personality. Likely 1-1/2 to 2 years old. No one can figure out why she was abandoned on the side of the road covered with fleas. The rescue group and foster parent did a fantastic job of caring for her. And they were lovely people to work with throughout the whole process. Emmie (for short) has fit right in with the family. My previous dog was a lovely companion named Coco. She lived past 12 and passed away five years ago. I am personally thrilled to have a Yorkie again. *Feel free to correct me on the parti-color designation. I honestly had never heard the term and had to Google it. It's been interesting to see all of the changes that have come about in the last 5+ years -- new (to me) Yorkie colors, grain-free dog foods, new flea treatments, YouTube training videos, etc. etc. |

| Welcome to YT, what a lucky lil girl Emmie is to have found a loving family and her furever home. She is just adorable. It just breaks my heart to see these precious little babies just tossed out of someones life. Thank you for rescuing. (I also have a yorkie rescue).

| With a face like that who in their right mind could ever dump her. I am willing to bet she probably got out and the owner couldn't find her. She is absolutely adorable. She looks like she probably runs the show at your house. It would be so hard not to spoil her. Last edited by yavenay; 08-11-2015 at 09:38 AM. |

| Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! I keep reminding myself that it hasn't even been 3 weeks yet. But Emmie has fit in like she's been around for years. I've been the one trying to catch up. Reading many of the threads here have helped tremendously. Thanks for being a great community and resource. |
