| I found him on rebound hounds website Tuesday night. Filled out their application and it just went speeding along. I had my chats with his foster mom and got a good sense of him before even meeting him. Rebound hounds rescues dogs out of high kill shelters in New York. To my surprise he was being fostered within 30 miles of me. He is quite the change from our 7# little girls that we lost in January, but I believe he will be every bit as special. He has such charm about him and smart as a whip. I still can't believe that I was al lucky to find him on basically my first try. I know we will have some challenges ahead, but he will be worth it. |

| Thanks for the pics, he is a cutie for sure. My boy also came a from high kill shelter in New York. My vet works with a rescue team. The rescue team went to NY to get him and then to my vet for check up. I am sending the following on behalf of your new lil boy. A Poem Now that I'm all home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in my warm new bed, I'd like to open my baggage lest I forget, There is so much to carry, so much to regret. Hmmmmm, Yes, there it is right on the top, Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame, As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave, I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them, the others, the ones who left me, But I wasn't good enough; for they didn't want me. Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things and take me right back? Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, To never repack? I pray that you do; I'm so tired, you see. But I do come with baggage; will you still want me?

| He's gorgeous! It boggles my mind that babies like this die in shelters while people spend $5000+ for tinies and "designer dogs"! I wish the very best for you and this very lucky, blessed baby!

| I ate my food today It took all day, but Gus (yeah didn't seem like a Junior so I got my name changed too) cleaned his bowl. Doesn't seem bothered by the name change, a lot of positive good boy reinforcement in play. Still not going potty in my back yard, so trying to entice by putting some of his poop from walks around trees. Hopefully the scent will help get the idea across. Don't mind taking him for walks, but want him to use his yard too. Amazed at how far he has come in a day. |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | He is a cutie. . . Also make sure you carry treats with you. If he happens to go potty in the yard make a big deal and give him a treat. He will start to realize potty in the yard a treat . . Good luck

| It is hard to believe that Gus has been with us almost a week. Today we tried not crating for a couple hours by himself, he did great. He may have earned his freedom. We still have lots to learn, but we can do it. He is such a smart boy. Need to remember to carry treats in pockets at all times. |

| An amazing 3 weeks It has been a wonderful 3 weeks of getting to know, get comfortable and begin to settle in for all. Our boy is so smart. Been learning his manners like a champ. Still not potting for me in the yard, but at least he does for hubby. Good thing I love to walk. Such a sweetie, he has helped so much with the heartache from losing our little girl this past winter. I am so glad we were able to be rescued by him. |
