| New to this website, introducing Bella! My fiancé and I adopted her at 6 months old from a local breeder & have absolutely fallen in love with her this past month. She's 7 months old now and everyday I'm learning more about her personality. She is a major diva! Her first 2 weeks home with us she was very quiet, all she wanted to do was cuddle (I was more then pleased with this!) she almost never left my arms! I was also surprised at how quickly she caught on to using her puppy pad... But... We've ran into a problem that I'm curious if any of you have had as well... She's recently started to go potty random places around the house! I'm confused why she's acting out when we started off so well!? Any opinions?? None the less I love her like my first born child & am excited to have found this website where I can chat with fellow yorkie lovers! Aren't they just the cutest things |

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk and congratulations on the new addition to your life! You will have to share some pictures of Bella. Here is a video tutorial if you need help with photos: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...orkietalk.html I do not believe that dogs pee where they shouldn't to act out. Make sure her pad is readily accessible and that she doesn't have to travel far to get to it. I would limit her freedom to a smallish area with the pad (one room?) until she improves. Be sure to praise and reward when she gets it right. My boys are 4 and 5 and we still praise them for using the pad. It's a sport in our home. They dash to the kitchen for their kibble reward. Teddy does the kicking dance when we cheer for him. When she has an accident, don't make a big deal. Maybe say "uh oh" and show her the pad. Then clean thoroughly to remove the scent that may attract her to return and mark the spot again.

| Welcome to YT! I went to your profile and saw your pictures. Bella is so cute! As for the potty thing, Sally was perfect when we brought her home. Now, not so much. I'm getting to be on a first name basis with the carpet cleaner guy.
